Remarks
The factor that made me chose this college was BRANCH. I was very interested in Computer Science and Engineering and that made my choice. I had two other options: 1. Mechanical at NIT Durgapur 2. Industrial Engineering at MNIT Allahabad. Speaking about the college, NIT Raipur is one of the oldest colleges in India. The college has good infrastructure and faculty support. The alumni base of college is large and is spread from India to abroad. Having a good average placement stats, this college was the right choice for me.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and curriculum of the college has been revised in 2019. The college now follows Choice Based Curriculum Scheme (CBCS), which is much better than the previous curriculum. The subjects now being taught are much focused on competitive examination ahead and are of industry level. Within last two year, the college has done extensive hiring that increased the number of faculties many folds. Also the standard for a faculty is kept high, only the M.Tech and above qualified professors are allowed to enter the college. The teaching methods according to me is much productive and is on higher competitive side. Hence the academic support of the college is at par with many IITs.
Internships Opportunities
Yes. I have recieved an offer from Arcesium for internship in May 2022. The first round was Coding round followed by 3 technical intervew and 1 HR interview.
Placement Experience
Students of 5th semester are eligible for internship opportunities and Students of 7th semester are eligible for placement opportunitites. There are many companies that visit the college major of them are: DE Shaw, Arcesium, Smasung, PayTM, Deutsche Bank, Optum, GE Healthcare, Amazon, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities

Campus Life

Eclectika by Cultural ClubOther than these we have TEDx, Sahyog, GoGreen, CodeChef chapter, Google DSC, and many more.There is a special online as well as offline library of the institute. The facility can be availed by anyone in the college.
Hostel Facilities
The institute lacks on the hostel side. The number of rooms available in hostel is way too less than the number of students. The hostel is provided on merit basis. The hostel mess is clean but the food and menu is not good. The hostels and mess is very affordable. The prices are too less than any other institute. Hence the maintainance is not proper.
Admission
There were no GD/Interview for entering the college. The college intake is done on the basis of JEE Mains Rank. JEE Mains is conducted every year for the students of class 12. The subjects asked in the exam are Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. The are various ways to coaching institutes in India for the same. The questions are primarily asked in the exam are from class 11th and 12th syllabus of CBSE.
