Entrance Preview

CET ranking 2195. One of the top five colleges in bangalore. Located at the heart of the city. Very well known college. Best for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is good. The subjects are very informative and more on electronics and sensor focus. Thus is very interesting. Lot of scope for research as there are subjects related to robotics and other sensor areas as well as has subjects related to VLSI. Gives good electronics basics knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

Lot of companies provide internships like BOSCH, NAL etc. stipend during our study days were around 500 a month or so. As college is very well known many government and private institutes offer internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are very good. Lot of companies come ranging from TCS, Infosys, Wipro to core companies like Yokogawa, Nokia siemens, CISCO etc. Even for civil and mechanical branches core companies used to visit. Job opportunity is always guaranteed. A student who gets placed into tier 1 company with less salary can try and get into tier 2 company with higher pay as well. Thus 2 offers at hand.

College Events

4

UTSAV is the fest conducted during month of April. Very famous event and lots of colleges from various regions around India do come and participate. It is conducted for 3 days and lot of activities and competitions do happen which is very nice to enjoy.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For merit students fee structure is very much affordable. I'm not aware of donations taken. But otherwise college is not much expensive and feasible for any middle class family easily. The paid fees was a lakh or two per year which was quite expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are some scholarship available to study master degree abroad. But strict and tough exams are conducted for it which is pretty tough to clear. But for the witty and hard working people, it is a cake walk which they can make use of the best.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is very much happening. Gender ratio is almost 65 boys : 35 girls. Extracurricular is very well encouraged. Lab facilities are well maintained. Sports are also well practiced. Tech fest are well conducted and colleges from various regions participate and happen very well organised.

Alumni/Alumna

But among our friends group we are still in touch and have lots of fun together even now. Alumni meetings are conducted but due to people in different locations difficult to catch up on all meetings.

Exam Structure

Monthly 1 class test was conducted. 3 such tests used to happen. Best 2 were taken for final counting. Followed by it used to be study holidays for half a month or so. After which would be the lab exams and final semester exams. It was pretty chilling out and not too hectic.

Admission

I had given my CET (Common Entrance Test) and also scored 95.33% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in my second PUC (12th). In CET counselling for my ranking (2195) at BMS college Instrumentation Technology branch was available under Merit category for General. Thus I enrolled in this institute.

Faculty

3

Good but cannot tell the best or so. More than relying on faculty we must learn to study on own. Faculties can be made use of for guiding purpose in terms of examinations. Other than that self effort is the most important. But faculties are friendly and do not pester of being at class 24/7.
