Remarks
Good reputation in North Indian Private college. The college course charges is less as compared to other colleges available at that part of the country. Also the placement opportunities are available in enough amount as it hold combined placement for 3 campuses at once. Majority of the companies visit for CSE or IT field. Strong branding is one of the reason.
Course Curriculum Overview
Most of the faculties have done their masters and some have their post graduation too. Faculties hold above average knowledge to subject and try to deliver the same. Some faculties are specialized in one domain and some are not specific to any particular subject.
Internships Opportunities
Some of the on-campus Internship opportunity are available in campus. Some reputed product based companies like Walmart and others visit the campus with internship opportunities too.
Placement Experience
Campus placement have more than enough opportunity available as there is a joint campus placement venture is available. If a student put his effort the he must be placed with a minimum package of 2-3 LPA. Highest package goes to approx CTC 36 LPA.Majority of the company visit for CSE domain only and some handful companies visit for core branches.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The tution fee has no hike for registered students. Yes the tution hikes around 2k per year for each batches. For example- 2019 batch has 43k per sem then it may be 45k per sem for 2020 batch but 2019 batch wil have same semester fee till 2023 or till the course is completed. Govt scholarship are available for minority groups and Punjab state students. No scholarship opportunities for general category students. Students can involve themselves in admission cells during admission time and get paid some amount for each registration. No full time opportunity is available as far as I'm aware of
Campus Life
The campus is full of opportunities and clubs. There are more than 12 clubs and groups available in the campus. Student will get enough opportunity depending upon their field of interest. Activities are held regularly for the engagement of the students.The environment inside the campus is really good. The positive ambiance is available all side. Campus is full with greenery which provides a healthy environment.Infrastructure is above average and Labs are good.
Hostel Facilities
I have taken the hostel facility in first year of my graduation. The hostel charges have an approximate hike of 5-10% each year for all students irrespective of the batch. Hostel facility is mandatory for a period of 1 year if availed.3 time food with evening snacks are available in hostel fee.Free gym is available for all hostel students. 3 boys gym and 1 girl gym is available in their separate hostel campus.Hostel charges ranges: (Year 2019)4 seater- 85000 (non AC)3 seater- 90000 (non AC)3 seater- 95000 (AC)2 seater- 105000 ( AC)5 boys hostel and 2 Girl hostel are available.Timing for staying in campus- till 10pm for boys and 6-7 pm for girls. Dry cleaning facility is available for hostel students with additional charges. 5-7 shops is available in campus inside cafeteria premises.
Admission
No there is no GD, Interview or any test for getting admission in Chandigarh Engineering College Landran. However there is another college in same campus having name College of Engineering who selection is done by Punjab Technical University. CEC as well as COE is registered under PTU itself.
