IIT Ropar is well connected with the major city like Chandigarh & Delhi. It has well-developed campus and facility. Within a short period, it has created Strong alumni like one of the CAT Rank 1 is from our College and many more. Coming to the median Package Prospective, it was 11.2 Lakh Package while I was joining, which is at par with old IITs and one of the highest package in new IITs. For various Information, I Preferred Quora/Youtube for the campus Review and NIRF Site for Various Stats. The bad aspect is that except electrical and CSE, other branches struggle for placement in non-core and SDE Roles as some companies don't allow to sit in the placement recuirement process, but it can be tackled with if you are firmly focussed on non-core and SDE. Coming to the Process of admission, I gave my Jee advanced exam on 27 Sept 2020. The result was out on OCT 5, after which the JOSAA counselling started on OCT 11(For which we have to enroll on the JOSAA site in my case, they took 35000 in which 33000 was refundable) in which we got different College in Rounds after the last round we are admitted in chosen College and the College will send you mail for further Process and documentation required. One small suggestion is that if anyone wants to apply for fee concession, they should Produce the income certificate in the time frame given by the organization. After the respective College does the document verification, you will attend the class and all. You don't have to worry about anything just be active on E-mail and website all the Information will be given before the time.

I was interested in CSE but my rank landed me into CIVIL branch . The faculty is good and will resolve all the query efficiently and some may find the teaching method is not so efficient for some Professor beacuse of online mode .If you attend all the lecture and solve all the sheets question you can easily score CGPA above 8.Coming to the student ratio in my branch Boys : Girls is 6:1 .The exams are conducted timely ,there might be some discrepancy if the exams are in online mode. If you are obedient and regular it is very easy to pass.

The tuition fee is 113650 which includes one time fee also after this per semester tuition fee will be 106650 and mess charges is around 50000 per year. If your income is <450000 and >100000 then 33 % of tuition fee will only be charged . If your income is <100000 then not tuition fee will be free. There are various scholarship given Institute MCM scholarship, Scholarship for SC and ST in which mess charge will be free, Top 7% of respective branch will be awarded cash prize. Apart from this as usual placement and Internship drive is carried out by the Institute.

Technical fest is ADVITIYA(summer for covid batch) ,Cultural fest is ZEITGEIST(summer for covid batch) and Sport fest is AAROHAN(winter season).Library contains every type of book also it has the facility of e-books which is very much helpful for covid times.There is provision of smart id card to access the library system(https://www.iitrpr.ac.in/library/) last but not the least you can find any book want on various field. There are various sports and extra curricular activities conducted regularly like General Championship among the peers.We have various sports events and extra curricular activities inter-year and inter-college in Punjab and Haryana. There are 4 Hostels named Beas,Chenab and Satluj for boys where as Raavi for Girls.It is in the outskirts of Ropar and Chandigarh so it has Greenery all around it.

Meal is good in every manner and healthy. Menu is vibrant in nature which includes Foods covering from different region like north and south also flexible in nature for various festivals and occassions. Other question has already been answered.
