Remarks

Good aspects are well qualified professors with IIT mtech degree holders with full centralised a/c and ambient place to study. And bad aspects are it is a new college so it takes time for development of the Institution. Admission process was for one whole day starting from 10am to evening 6pm where they explain about the college and the infrastructure and college fee and then admitting to college will be done .

Course Curriculum Overview

CSE course was one for me which I had dreamt about having a degree in it . Students ratios will be in the form of boys:girls 70:30 % and per class strength is 60 and that strength depends upon subject. Faculties are highly qualified with IIT mtech degree holders and few are MS degree holders with high experience in teaching. Exams are twice one is midsem and endsem and quizzes depends upon teacher but 2 quiz is compulsory. Difficulty level depends upon faculty .

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Placement Experience

Cgc carrier guidance cell from college offers a good placements for every student from ranging package CTC from 5lpa to 15lpa for 2018 batch . And there are lot of internship offers for students who get selected for the company .

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee for 2018 batch is 140000 and there won't be any hike as far as we came through. There will be scholarship for everyone depending upon the criteria. Campus placement are provided by cgc From college where almost everyone get chance to get placed .

Campus Life

We have got a brand new campus were it has all the facilities like doctors, outdoor sports , indoor sports and for educational clubs there are several clubs like robotics club , EEE, codechef etc. Sports club will conduct intra sports meet and there will be inter sports meet annually.

Hostel Facilities

There is a new hostel for both boys and girls which is of newly built and well infrastructured buildings out of it girls hostel was built and funded by Infosys and the meals will be depended on the mess which will be new mess for the new campus. And rent is 40000 for 2018 batch.

Admission

There where no group discussion or the interview or test or any such kind of things for the admission process as it id purely based on the jee mains exam

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage

They provide good curriculum and better syllubus which covers most of the geology and oceanography topics especially physical and chemical oceanography, climatology, hydro geology and other topics but practically they seems little back they doesn't provide new instruments for surveying and oceanography they still following old techniques which is not relevantly used in this time

From 7th to 8th semester students become eligible for campus placement and various types big hotel brands, airlines, cruiselines and big companies visit to recruit or give placements to students and average offers are made around 600000 lakhs per annum. Collage provides 100% placement to students and we go for intership twice, once in 3rd semester and second in 8th semester. we can choose whereever we want to do our intership even we can apply for abroad interships. After I complete my degree I am planning to get a job in any international brand or cruiselines then after 2-3 years of experience I will do complete my masters then I will settle down with a nice job in India.

Over all IIT Dharwad is good not bad

I choose this college because I got computer science branch in IIT and fees is also low for me as a middle class student because I search in other nit have 2 lacks fee for one year for sc and fill this fee at the starting but here I fill 58500 in 1st sem and remaining in 2nd semester so it's And I applied for IIT Bombay here I choose chemical engineering but required rank is 679bbut my is 927 that's why not selected. And admission process of iit dharwad is very smooth if students selected in joosa rounds so fill the fee throgh online before reaching the college and submit required documents like 10th 12 marksheet aadhar card pan card fee receipt and joosa admission letter that's it admission done...Read More

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

I applied for CSE and MnC branches of all the 1st and 2nd gen IITs along with the 3rd gen IITs, my rank was about 4.8k so I knew I could get CSE only in the 3rd gen IITs out of which I felt IIT Dharwad was the best. My main reason for choosing IIT Dharwad was CSE, also that it was mentored by IIT Bombay, so the syllabus is quite tried and tested, also Dharwad is near to the tech hubs of the country like bengaluru, pune, mumbai, hyderabad which is good for someone who is really passionate about CSE. IIT Dharwad is new but not forever..

The college comes within the list the prestigious colleges 'IITs' and that is the major reason to choose this college and not any other with my rank in jee advance. all you need to do is clear jee advance with a minimum rank of 16-17k to get entered and for computer science it is around 4-5k.
