Course Curriculum in first year had general subjects. Second year was specific subjects, and machine design was introduced. Third year was thermodynamics and machines. CAD was introduced in fourth year. OROT and Value engineering were extra subjects. Industrial Training was given third year onwards and project was based on technology followed in industries.

No, internship was provided. Industrial Training was compulsory but no stipend was given. Overall experience included visits to different units and knowing various trades.

Major Companies like Reliance Petro, Telco, GSPC, NPCIL, came for Campus interviews. High salaries upto Rs. 10000 basic was offered, with hike of upto 50% on confirmation. Small and local companies offered stipend upto Rs. 6000 for training upto 1 year, and upon confirmation 20% hike in salary.

All local festivals were celebrated with huge participation. Cultural fairs were held every 3 months. Competitions across the faculty were encouraged in cultural activities. Technical Fair was held every year in October when first semester of year came to end.

Although it was a conservative city, parties were on high but all were well behaved, Politics was bare minimum. International students also attended and there was no discrimination.

Hostel is central and walking distance to everything you want to see in vadodara, 15min walk from a main train station. They have nice rooms, comfortable beds, big clean washrooms. The kitchen is well stocked if you want to cook for yourself and they have nightly activities so its easy to meet people in the common room.

Yes, alumni was very helpful. It consisted of engineers from local companies as ABB, IPCL, GSPL, etc.

Exams were in 8 semesters, two per year. Labs were once a week. It was not hectic at all. Enough study leaves were given and professors were ready to help in these holidays. Library was huge with lots of text books and reference books - both international and national authors.

Form was filled in school and intimation of interview was received one week later. Selected MSU as it was in Vadodara and I was native of Vadodara.

Faculty consisted scholars from various fields. Professors were helpful, generous and considerate. Dean was down to earth and very co-operative. In third year, engineers from various industries were invited for specific trainings. Fourth year was training with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation where personal trainers were assigned.
