Entrance Preview

No entrance exam required for journalism course. The HSC mark sheet speaks for itself. It's more of a first come, first serve opportunity. The sooner you contact college and register the higher the scope of one getting admission. Fee structure is 60,000 per year.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

It is an excellent course with multiple options in terms of subjects. Every 6 months the subjects change and exposes you to a different aspect of media. We have field visits every semester (6 months) and lectures from 10 am-5 pm which includes practicals. They assign us daily assignment and have fun interractive practicals. Guest lectures are taken every month and respected personnel are invited from their respective fields.

Internships Opportunities

Yes my college does provide internship . The criteria is 10 days training and they pay ₹500 per month.

College Events

2.5

Since it's a media line department. We do have a number of events. On 9th January we had a event which was a national seminar on Cinema, Dr Jabbar Patel, Dr Mohan Agashe, Mr. Samar Nakhate, Mr.Om Raut and may other highly delegates were invited. They even hold events for students which is 'Sanskruti' which is a 3 day event with sports and may other creative activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible- ₹60,000/- per year. Inclusive of study tours. It is not much since the college provides us with a lot of facilities and provide us with a lot in terms of knowledge and education. We even have free wifi and a computer lab.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college doesn't provide scholarships nor loans. That's as per my knowledge. But for further details the college can be contacted.

Campus Life

2.5

The campus isn't huge but it's extremely well maintained. The gender ratio is 50:50 with extra safety towards women. We do have a lot of non Indians studying in our college and there's no diverse variation between them and us. All are treated the same and with respect within the premises

Exam Structure

The exams are held in the college building itself. Minimum 2 teaches are there for substitution. With the higher priority teachers always on the round. It's not at all hectic and the teachers are always there to help you if anything. We have only theory exams which are 5 per semester.

Admission

Since the college staff was extremely helpful, the admission process wasn't taxing. I had to take all the required documents in college and then fill the online form in the college office. Once that's done, you will get a fee slip which needs to be submitted in the college back itself. The entire process doesn't take more than 30 mins.

Faculty

2.5

Extremely friendly and certainly one of the best in terms of knowledge. All the professions focus on getting the best out of a student. The specially invite their friend who are talented in their respective field to enlighten us. In terms of assignment, they all assign us with weekly/daily assignment (depends on the subject) and one or two practical assignment per semester.

I will rate 6 out of 10 because the syllabus it has old information. The special aspect of the curriculum is about branding, strategy use to make strong brand in the market. The area for improvement in these curriculum is to provide student the proper software for technical or practical subjects. (like photoshop, indesign, etc.)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.
