Entrance Preview

I was a pass out from Apeejay school and so the admission into this college was easy and did not have to sit for any entrance as I have scored 87% in 12th. I opted for B.com as I wanted to go Abroad for my Master's in business MGT.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure was all about commerce and business management. The basics of economics and insurance with law was included. The first year had accounts, law , business management with Punjab history & culture and English language. Second year had cost & corporate accounting and insurance. Last year had economics in detail with Income tax.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, few courses in the college has internship options, not all the courses. And my course did not have, so do not know about the experience.

Placement Experience

3

The job opportunities and placements were poor. Only 2 companies during my entire 3 years came to the college for placement. Google and Intex came for placement and only 10 students got an opportunity for jobs. They lac in this and should improve their placement opportunities. I have no idea about the package the students were offered.

College Events

5

We have internal college events like annual functions and educational events. The entire college and all the students participated in the same. We had one internal Fashion fest called lakshya where our fashion management students showcased their creativity and designs on real models. We had good celebrities coming over as special guests in this event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Apeejay college was a very reasonable college and all the students from all sorts of backgrounds could afford the college easily. I completed my three years on college in just rs 30,000. Which is very very nominal. Now the fee structure might have changed.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not avail for any scholarship or loan as the fee itself was very less. There might be few students who must have availed for the loan. Scholarship was available for toppers of the boards and were given concession for the entire sessions and years on college.

Campus Life

2.5

As I mentioned above, it was a very relaxed college with no peer pressure or pressure from the lecturers. Students enjoyed their time in the college along with the studies. We had few extra curriculars, like events, Sports competitions. There were equal number of girls and boys .

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Our college did not have any hostel facilities or mess facilities. It is a small college and mostly we had locals coming . If there were outstation students, they arranged PG's in the city. Which are easily available in the city and specially around the college areas. The PG rentals starts from 5k₹ per month to 10k depending upon the room and the facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

I did not have any interaction with the senior students as such. Alumina is there. And the senior students are welcomed into the college to share their experiences on special events. I personally could not have any interaction with any senior student.

Exam Structure

The internal exams were really relaxed. The students were not pressurised for taking the exams and it was the students own responsibility for testing their own knowledge. It was a very chilled college with no pressure. There was no Labs for commerce students.

Faculty

3

Faculty of the college was good, however could be improved in terms of how they deal with the students. Few lecturers were concerned and paid attention to each student . Few were biased and did not see all the students as same. Students who got less marks in internal exams were not being paid attention to.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well-planned and mostly relevant to current industry needs. It covers both theory and practical work, which helped me choose this course. The subjects prepare for us real-world applications, though some topics could be updated. Exams are held regularly and are moderate in difficulty. Overall, the curriculum is good but can be improved with more modern and industry-focused content.
