NMIMS: The best among the lot

The NMAT test was part of the admission process in NMIMS Mumbai. It was followed by a CD and PI. There is no such minimum or maximum requirements of age but there is a cut-off for marks. The total cut-off score for admission at NMIMS Mumbai was 235 with a sectional score of 75 for each section.

I chose MBA at NMIMS due to my past work experience and I thought it's the right time to do an MBA. NMIMS being a prestigious tier 1 B-school of India, was always on my list of institutions I want to study in. There are 60 faculty for 1st year and 750 students. So the F:R ratio is 2:15. The faculty is pretty good and the best in business. Teaching pedagogy at NMIMS is one of the best in the country. Exams and mid-terms, everything is following the schedule. The level of exams is quite good to test your conceptual understanding. There are 30+ subjects in the first year itself and teaching pedagogy is up to date.

The name and roles offered for an internship can be found in the placement report of the college. College offers many corporate projects throughout the year and there's a dedicated cell for that purpose. Students avail the use of the opportunity.

The summer internship placement process is started in the month of September which continues until every student is placed. 100% of students get placed at NMIMS Mumbai. Details regarding packages and companies can be found in the placement report released on the website. I got placed for a summer internship in a very big company with a decent package.

Not have many ideas about the fees hike policy but the cost of studying at NMIMS is a bit on the higher side. 22 Lakh for two years. The campus provides 2 months summer internship and later, final placements in the final year. There is full support of the placement committee towards the students. During SIP - students received job offers from 160+ companies and the average package is around 1.2 Lacs. Final placements were completed in a matter of 8 days.

Paragana is the annual festival at NMIMS and it is conducted in October. There's a huge library at the campus and during the online mode, books were provided to students at home via courier. Also, an e-library is made available to all the students. There are 14 cells and clubs at NMIMS which make social life quite enjoyable. I am part of the student council and it really helps in my overall development as a business student.

Yes, I faced case discussion and interview for admission at NMIMS. The process was seamless and quite healthy competition among other candidates. I prepared myself for the admission process. I had prior work experience and that helped me in the process.
