Life at maharaja surajmal institute of technology.

I took admission to maharaja surajmal Institute of technology through ggsipu counselling. I am presently enrolled in a b.tech course (2020-2024). I am pursuing information technology. I am from general category. Admission process was extremely simple and hassle free. We just had to do choice filling according to preferences. After each round, a particular college was alloted to us according to our priority of choices and availability of seats.maharaja surajmal institute of technology is among top colleges of ggsipu university so it's preference was quite high for everyone including me. When I got information technology in msit, I immediately freezed it and further admission process was in college premises itself.

I chose information technology because I was quite inclined towards programming. I love to code . The faculty in this college is extremely good and supportive. They give their best and make sure that everyone in my batch is understanding things thay teach. Faculty is highly qualified. Some are post graduated and some are even researchers in their field. The depth of knowledge they have is unparalled to anyone. Thay make teaching look easy. There is comprehensive evaluation of students going on from time to time. Term exams are of good level and requires a solid grip on subjects to sail through them.

Internships are not offered that much on campus. You have to grab internships off-campus if you want to get one. Off-campus you can crack internships of good companies provided you have the required skills to sail through their testing process. Teachers here will support you in your internships though. They will take care of your attendance in college during your internships.

Placements are decent in this college, especially for cse/it students. Students are eligible for campus placements from 4th year. Amazon visited our campus . Percentage os students getting placed in cse/it is approximately 95 percent. I plan to join a good product based company after college

The fee is affordable as compared to other private colleges. Fee is around 5 lakhs for entire btech. There is standard fee hike every year but for us there was no fee hike considering the financial situation of everyone during covid. Plus financially weak people can avail scholarship based on merit. Tuition wee is waved off completely under this scholarship. There are good campus placements. Almost every individual get placed atleast in my stream. I am a 2nd year student. So there is still time for campus placements of my batch.

To be honest social life isn't great here. Since college infrastructure is not so good, college fests are not of good quality. Teachers are also not supportive of college fests as they consider it a waste of time. Regarding sports, there is a big sports ground in the campus. We can play football, cricket here. There is a basketball and badminton court too. There are many clubs as well. Dance club, technical club, debating club, sports club enhance the personality of individuals and teach them important life lessons.
