Remarks
I got the admission in the college via PMSSS( PM Scholarship scheme) and the admission process was done after i got verfied there. But there are many other ways to get admission other than PMSSS are, ACPC or Migrant Quote( if you are kashmiri pandit of J&K). I secured 83% in my 12th so I got the chance to select the college but the minimum marks to opt the college completely depends on the Cutoff and candidates applying for that. If you guys really want to know more about the PMSSS or ACPC Procedures to apply for the college, these are tones of Videos on youtube also if you want to know my experience of admission and the counselling day, then one thing I can say is I was good and the process was smooth.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for electronic and communication as I am very much passionate about it, but it is my friendly advice if you want to go for a course like this just choose Hyderabad or Pune located college as it will provide you with a better outcome. You can choose Textile, Metallurgy and chemical if you really wanna do good in the college, also the faculty teacher co-ordination is good and they are friendly too, but it matters if you give respect you will get one back. Most senior teachers are PhD holders and others are also well designated. I spent 3 years in my college the last 1 year was a covid period, but I can really tell you that teaching is good there. you can't compare this with IITs or NITs, but if you wanna do serious self teaching just join this college as a staff is over helping here. Secondly, I really wanna draw your attention to that the exam level here is very high you can't expect an easy promotion and each semester lasts for 6 months and holidays and college events are included.
Placement Experience
Placement Quality of the college is above average many MNCs come here but they prefer IT based workers only and if you want to get a guaranteed job then you must make your mind for textile or metallurgy or Computer science. Generally, companies prefer candidates with percentages above 60% and CGPA over 7 to 8 and remember these are just cut off criteria but the real selection is based on your overall performance in all fields. Plans after pass out: Honestly speaking if you are passionate about getting a job in technical especially the core branch then you must prepare yourself for the interview and GD( group discussions) but if you just to get a degree so that you get eligible for government jobs then it's ok just balance your college studies and prepare for the jobs also. People generally consider engineering to be an unemployment producing course but I know you gonna break that myth and tell you you really are.
Fees and Financial Aid
As the college is under a government so per year fees is not that much and it is around 11k yearly and if you want to stay in a hostel then it will charge you an extra 10k with 3k as security that you will get back after 4 years completion. Scholarship Schemes: There are many scholarship schemes you can get the idea of it after you join the college and if you perfectly fit under the criteria then you will get some discount concessions depending on your grades but keep in mind that you should belong to the Gujarat State else you won't take the benefits and if you belong to some other state just look for some scholarship schemes that your state government provides to you.
Campus Life
Life is incomplete if it lacks the taste of fun but with proper academic skill development, the college also provides a good opportunities for the newbies to show their talent like you can join any tch event if you are a techie or you can sing or dance if you have an interest in that field all these event and functions are headed by students so there will be no partiality on the basis of state. These are many events that you can join and this will provide your resume a weight that you have joined and being a part of a programme.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel Registration process: The process is simple, once you get admitted to the college you have to fill the hostel room allotment form and then a room will be allotted to you by the Chief Warden Officer and if you don't like the room then you can easily change it but it depends if the hostel has some vacancy for you. you will be charged 10K of which 3K is kept as security and 7k as a hostel room charge. Mess Meal: You will have to pay for what you eat and the quality of the food is good you can't expect something good at this price point and to the best of my knowledge I never get ill after eating the mess food so I can assure you that quality is good Local Room or PG: There are many local rooms and apartments near the college and all of them are affordable and well ventilated but just give the hostel a try because the real memories are made there only.
