Umesh Chandra College

One of the best colleges in my district if I would is none other than Umesh Chandra College. You don't need to apply for any other colleges this is the best college for all students where no discrimination is made on the basis of caste it is on the basis of cut off percentage which is as low as 50%. There is a counselling day held just after a day of admission where we get introduced to the new teachers.

This is the best course if you are willing to become an accountant or auditor in future. There is a large no of teachers in our college. They handle the students with utmost sincerity. The teacher is highly qualified and professional can handle every query of students very easily and solve them. The exams are held half yearly every year and it is too easy to pass.

In the final year, the students get eligible for placement. A large no industrial firms visit our colleges for hiring purposes. KPMG DELOITTE PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK is one of the industries that visited our college in recent years for campus purposes. The highest salary being offered was 8 lacs with an average package of around 2.5lacs per annum. About 50-60% of students get placement. I want to become a Chartered Accountant after getting the degree.

The fees are too reasonable for every student. Even poor students can afford it. It is just rs 5000 per annum so every student can afford to study here. There is a large no of scholarship schemes in our college. The scholarship is not given only to meritious students in students but also to students who are good in sports. Marginal relief is given to students below the poverty line.

The annual fest is being conducted around 25 Dec every year. With a wide range of books being available in the library which can be rented free for every week create chaos in the library. The classroom is old but well coloured and airy. There are no air conditioning facilities but sports and curricular activities are held throughout the year. Indoor games are the area where the college excel. College union runs many social groups and also a college website is being maintained for the betterment of students.
