Basically Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan takes admission test for entrance. But for pandemic situations like corona the university has not conducted admission test for B.A. Economics(hons) and the admission was based on marks secured in 12th standard. The eligibility criteria to apply for B.A. Economics in Visva Bharati University was 55% in aggregate at +2 and passing marks in Mathematics. The counseling process is mainly held in University campus after the merit list has been published.

This 3years B.A. The Economics course has been divided into 6 semesters. After each semester the University conducts semester examination.

As Visva Bharati University is a Central University the fees are minimal and affordable. Besides government scholarships like SVMCS is available for students studying in this University. Almost all the Government scholarships are granted by this University.
Campus Life
Campus life in Visva Bharti University is very unique and beautiful. There is Central Library with huge collection of books for students as well as faculty members. The University celebrates different bengali festivals like dol utsav, anandamela,poush mela, etc. Classrooms are good. There are seminar halls as well. Students are free here to express their creativity in many different ways.Students take part in different cultural festivals and programmes. People from all over the world come here to study or take in part in festivals and share their cultures with everyone.
