Internship and stipend

For admission, I went to the college's web page and applied for admission. Next, there was an online exam that was taken in an exam center. Next, I was called for an interview and group discussion. Then I choose the branch I like. After 1 week I got a mail invitation from the college and was told that I got admission in the college. The min marks I needed for the online exam was 35 out of 50 and in a group discussion I needed to have active participation and also I needed to speak in English.

There are 2 semesters per year. Each semester ends after 6 months. At the end of each semester we have to give an exam. There are two types of exam for each subject. One is practical and other is theory. We need to secure 35% of marks in each exam to pass. If failed in 1st attempt, we need to give reset exam but if failed again we need to repeat the year.

For the internship, we had a vast choice. We were able to choose any place in India to do internship. Also we can get internship abroad. The internship lasts for 6 months . In India there is very low stipend around 1.5k but abroad you can get upto 20k.

Overall 85% of students are getting placement every year. Lots of known hotel brands are coming every year for placements. My plans after placement is to go abroad for job in other hotel brands. The degree is valued in almost all countries outside.

The fees hike every year for the new commers there is no scholarship program but in covid time we got some relief from fees of the year 2020. Like 50% off for students who can't afford it. Overall according to the fees structure it's quite difficult for some students.

There is students counsel who helps students with any kind of academic problems. It is run by students of the final year. There are different activities happening every month and also there is a cultural team looking after these activities. We have a yearly digital magazine that is based on cooking recipes and games like crossword and also cocktail and mocktail recipes as well as articles by students and faculty.
