Don't know much bout internship offers

I got to this college through the UPSEE exam. In the 4th round of counselling, I got an IT branch in GLBITM. The counselling day was too hectic because of too much crowd. Students have to submit many copies of documents required but the process will be cleared in a day or two.

The course curriculum of AKTU for 1st year is not too good because no matter which branch you belong to, you'll have to study briefly about every branch subject. I personally didn't like it. But the 2nd year is very good as compared to the 1st year. Faculties are well qualified and supportive. Sessional exams are conducted every month which is important but pressurizing too.

I'm a 2nd year student so I didn't get any internship opportunities and don't know much about internships. But I've done projects by myself on full stack web development. Also, have hands on experience on the Google Cloud Platform.

Mass recruiters as well as big companies like Amazon come to the college for Placements. The average package of B.Tech is 4.5 LPA and the highest package is 30.25 LPA offered by amazon but the placement for CS and IT branch is really good. The Students of IT who are going to be passed in year 2023 got 100% placement in their 3rd year. Being an IT student, I have a big goal of getting placement of atleast 20 lpa. I've learned Web development with AI and also have experience with GCP machine learning and big data.

Compared to other AKTU engineering colleges, GLBITM is a bit costly but UP Govt. organizes UP Scholarship scheme every year. As far as I know, general category students of first year don't get the scholarship but they get it in upcoming years. The Scholarship is about Rs.55,000. Its quite a good about for financial support every year.

Fests and cultural events are organized by each branch of B.Tech individually. Students from any branch can participate in them. There are also many clubs like Navchetna and Erudite Club run by different branches. They also organize some events on their behalf. There is another club called Rotaract Club which comes directly under the Director of the college. Students get books for the course of every semester. Essential books are available in the library.
