A Good college to Choose

Admissions are through EMCET exam rank. For general category, rank should be below 15000 and extendable upto 29000 for sc/st. During counseling opt for some colleges along with CVR, then according to your rank government will allow you to the colleges likewise CVR.

I have chosen mechanical engineering as my interest. The faculty here is quite excellent. The faculty to student ratio is almost 1:4. All the faculty here should be either an M. Tech graduate or Ph.D. holder. Teaching is quite good. The overall syllabus coverage is comfortable. The semester exams were conducted every 5-6 months. The exams can be cracked very easily if one follows the instructions given in the classroom.

The internship stipend will be different from different companies. Companies like Oracle offer 60,000 per month on a 6-month internship. Whereas companies like Cognizant offer 15,000 per month on a 6-month internship.

Students here get placed right from the start of 6th semester. Nearly 45 to 50 companies visit here every year and pack up a bunch of 1000 students nearly. Some famous companies like Amazon, oracle visit here every year with a base package of 30 LPA. Many more small companies which offer 4LPA to 8LPA are also countable. Nearly 95% of students who take Campus Recruitment Training get placed every year.

The fee structure is simple here. As a general category one should pay 98500 rupees for the tuition fee, then 5000 for the JNTUH exam fee. College gives financial assistance opportunities such as education loans from banks. Scholarships will be given for all reserve category students based on their cast, income certificates. The placements here are the top spark for college fame. Every year nearly 900-1000 students get placed. Even though taking mechanical stream, I have gotten the opportunity to crack some of the computer science placements. Nearly 45-50 companies come to place the students.

The technical fest named Ciencia is conducted in all the branches of engineering every year on the month of nov/dec. The annual day programs will be scheduled on feb/March, and the branch-wise fests are conducted at any time in the academic year. We have plenty of books and journals to read in the library. In the campus, there is a big cricket stadium where tournaments are conducted often. Indoor games like table tennis, carrims, chess are one of the glimpse of sports we have. College has a basketball court which is the center of attraction. We have an NSS group in our college where NSS programs like planting trees, blood donation camps are often conducted.
