My engineering in RKGIT

At last, I would like to say that this is just an average college with good no. of placement, but only for cs-it branch. Rules and regulations are high.teachers are supportive.

I took UPSEE and JEE mains in past year. My UPSEE rank was not very good.but with help of JEE mains marks, I got this college in JEE mains quota. I was very interested in engineering, so i decided to do btech. I was unable to get seat in either IIT or nit, so I opted this college while counselling because I had listened many times about placement here.

Actually the course curriculum is not up to the mark of research level. Expect few college of Uptu, no other college, even rkgit are not very good in research based education. But hopefully, in recent years,our college has shown a lot of interest in research and other technology based events. But this is not enough. Other colleges like kiet,akgec are much advanced than rkgit.

No, absolutely not. No scope of internship is here in rkgit. This is a tier 3 college which main aim is provide and complete university course and placement. Resources are not much.students have to depend on industries and other colleges for internship as well as training.

Placement are just average. As usual, in computer science and information technology branch,placements are above 70%, but for others, placement is really bad with bad packages. Also most of placements are off campus,pool campus or through cocubes, amcat. So on campus placement is very low. But graph has increased in recent years with more companies visiting the college.

Like every other college, this college has many types of events in every season. It includes both technical, and cultural. College fests, fresher's party, robotics events, management events are good here, appreciable. Every year, every students actively participates in the programs and event in either cultural or technical.

This is positive side of college rkgit. Rkgit has least fees of tuition and hostels among other ncr colleges. This is very feasible for any student. Hostel costs only 60,000 rs. per student which is lowest of any ncr based private btech college with proper arrangements.

State govt. provides full scholarships to the students belonging to sc,st castes and partially to others. Also,fee waiver scheme is there for 5%students taking admission through UPSEE counsellings. These scholarship helps a lot to each students in their needs and education. Also college helps to take loans from various banks.

Campus life is awesome. Campus is small but fully greened with tree and plants. Gender ratio is good,there are a lot of cultural societies,workshops and robotics club. Debates are organized regularly each month to motivate students. Also, there is no any type of racism or casteism in college.

Hostel facilities are same as other colleges but with low cost. Mess food is just average. Edible but not appreciable. College is in village area,so PGs here are cheap with normal quality. In hostels, their are two,three and four seaters rooms which is categorized on basis of small margin of price.

Alumni network is a gem for college. Senior students regularly visits to college to meet new students and to motivate them. Also they tell about new and advanced technologies.

Exams are really hectic. Every month, it has sessionals with requirement of 75% attendance which makes students very frustrated. Labs are of very low quality. Most of instruments don't work properly. Also, lab attendant are unable to teach properly. Lab hours are more, but quality is bad,same as study hours.

Few of the faculty are very good in respect to their knowledge. But most of faculty are here just to complete university course on time. (they want to help students in practical approach but can't, because they are unable to do so.) faculties are mostly MTECH. Few PhD are also there.
