Entrance Preview
I took GATE, TANCET. I score 25 and 29 in gate and TANCET. My college is the best college for Industrial safety engineering in Tamil Nadu. Only few colleges in Tamil Nadu has the GO for the particular course. Staffs are experienced and all the facilities available for this course.
Course Curriculum Overview
In this you will learning Principles of Safety management, SHE acts, Safety in Construction, Process safety, Reliability, fireworks safety, Environmental safety, Occupation health & Hygiene . We have Design & fabrication project, Risk assessment project. Which you cant find in the other colleges curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
No. My college only provides project assistants. They will be assisting Ph.D staffs projects and they will be becoming their juniors. Pay is somewhat okay. I dont know the figure of pay which they are getting for the project assistant. Internship is not available in my college. Non of the other departments also dont provide internships
Placement Experience
During my placement year around 10 companies came for this course. L&T Construction, CUMI, DMRCL, Total lumbricants, Manali petroleum ltd., etc., Around 11 got placed in L&T. As for us placements its better than the other colleges. Packages is also very good.
College Events
In our college Techno management cultural festival and apart from that we will having symposiums & conference for their respective departments. our department will be celebrating safety day. Other than these activities blood donation camp and NSS camps will be held in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is nominal. there will 20K difference between the GQ ( Government quoto) & MQ ( management Quoto ) Students . College fees will come around 1 lakh and hostel fee will come around 40k. This is for the management quota students. so you can reduce 20K for the GQ
Fees and Financial Aid
College students from Government quota will be getting government scholarships amount. Gate students will be getting the stipend. Apart from that management is providing annual scholarship to the best performing students.
Campus Life
There are many clubs in our college like ISTE student chapter, Health Club, Red ribbon club, Arts club, Renewable energy club. In a week there will many events planned by these clubs. Apartment from this college has certain rules for the discipline.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are very good and clean. for UG students rooms are on sharing basis, 4 guys per room upto third year. Each year students will be having separate hostel. Final year and PG students get individual rooms. Mess will common and its a buffet system.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, college is having many alumni forum. All will be members by default. Its based the activeness of yours in the forum.
Exam Structure
Exams will be held in our college itself. Labs also will be held in our college. Frequency is every 6 months i.e at the end of the semester we will be having the exams. You wont find that as hectic. always the exam centers will be in our college only.
Faculty
Faculties are excellent. Their expertise in this field very peculiar. almost most staff is having industrial exposure, So we get the industrial aspects while learning the curriculum on day to day basis. They prepare the curriculum, which will be verified by senior staffs.
