Entrance Preview

I cracked WBJEE medical entrance examination and i opt this college because it is a very fine college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is nice from outside look. But it is a bit tough course. The course is toughest than othe any course. It is a 5½ years course in which academic course is of 4 years and 1½ year is for internship. We had to study Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology etc total 20 subjects through the course.

Internships Opportunities

I am now a 1st professional MBBS student and don't know about the all in detail. But our college provide internship obviously. The stipend is almost Rs.20000.

College Events

Our college organises one fest in each year and for 1st year newcomers the seniors arrange freshers.

Exam Structure

There are total 9 semester in 5½ year course. In between them final exams occur. There are 2 semester in 1st year, 3 semester in second year, and subsequently 2 semesters in next 2 year. Our 1st semester is in january and final will be on August of next year.

Admission

As per rank list or merit list i got chance in this college. Some of our original documents were taken by administration and we get admitted. We sat in counselling process and got this college in kolkata. We had to fill up a form also online before exam and also at the time of admittance.

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes.
