Entrance Preview
UBS Executive program conducts a separate entrance exam, GD and personal interview. It offers the same experience as their regular MBA, the campus and faculty are also the same. It is held in the evening and is for working professionals.
Course Curriculum Overview
Excellent curriculum and the elective- Marketing was very well taught. The other electives are Finance and Human Resources. The faculty is very well read and the curriculum is well designed with a lot of case studies. There were also lots of guest lectures.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are not provided for the executive MBA program since the students are already in jobs and do not need internships.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is not very expensive since it is a government University and not a private university. The total cost of the degree was around Rupees 60000. Even though I had not availed of a loan but banks do offer loans for such a program. The fees is paid twice a year. It is paid for each semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
I had not availed any scholarship or loan and neither does the University provide any loan or scholarship.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is skewed with around 70% boys and 30% girls. There were lots of extra activities, talk shows and debates. There were regular sessions from guest speakers who were well known speakers and guests from the industry. The students have a diverse background which was very useful.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is very strong and they keep providing help and guidance for the junior batches and have regular get togethers.
Exam Structure
It was like usual exams and with regular study was not much of a stress.It follows a semester system and exams are held twice in a year. The exams are long and descriptive with a lot of focus on extra reading and case studies. Regular reading is a must to fare well.
Admission
The written exam was followed by a group discussion and personal interview. The exam was easy but the group discussion and interview were very challenging since all candidates had a lot of experience and came from different corporates. The topics of discussion were current affairs.
Faculty
Excellent faculty with a lot of experience. The faculty has also published a lot of papers and books and offered a great learning experience. They are highly dedicated and it was wonderful learning and interacting with them. The faculty are also having good corporate experience.
