A great college for BCA and BBA!

I applied for BCA in Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies - Technicals Campus in Pitampura, New Delhi. It is one of the top colleges under IPU (Indraprastha University). As I am an OBC (Other Backward Classes), I availed for that but there didn't seem to be any quota for OBC this year (2021), also in the cutoff there was no separate column for OBC inside Delhi this time. I got a decent rank and got 2nd shift in it, admission procedure went pretty smooth as all my documents were in place, I needed above 50% in 10+2 and under 965 rank this year! and also needed to be under 21 to go for a course in this college. All the required documents I found through their website (Vips' Website). There were 3 rounds with a sliding round, I got this college in the 3rd round only. This year the cutoff went really high, but most of them got admission to their preferred college.

I chose BCA (Bachelors in Computer Applications) as my course as I am pretty interested in the IT sector, and thinking to do MCA (Masters in Computer Application) as it will allow me to learn more and also help me to get a better placement. There was a 1:20 faculty: student ratio and most of the teachers go for practical teaching methods as it is supposed to be the best method. All the teachers are well respected and well known! they are easy to approach and to. There was an exam every semester and its hard to pass but not hard, if studied well and attended every class you will pass and get good grades too!

I got a great Company named I-Create it was an IT sector-based country, and I was given a front-end development role! It was a great experience for me personally and a good learning curve. Made many projects like first base App and back end work.

Placements of this college are really good and you are eligible for placements in the 3rd or 4th semester. Many big MNC's visited this college like HP, Dell, Microsoft! and also Cisco, and well-known networking company. 40% 50% of students get placed every year!

There's been a fees hike this year as it is competing with various other Private Colleges but the cost to study is really good, you really are getting a lot for your fees hike! I don't know about a scholarship but there is always an event you can participate in and win awards.

There are always fun stuff and other happenings in the college and the most awaited annual fest Spadam is always really fun to attend and socialize in. There is no limit to the books in the library, you can find every book there and the infrastructure is also really good. There are so many sports to attend in like Football, basketball, volleyball, etc.

There were Group Discussions and interview questions were pretty hard but you can get through them! I prepared for my interview through youtube and there was also assistance in the college about the interview. There were a lot of good companies like HP, Dell, Cisco even Microsoft.
