BEST COLLEGE CURRICULUM

I was interested in a computer-related branch which I could not get through my JEE rank though I was eligible in IITs and NITs for the other branches in which I wasn't interested, so I applied in almost every top college of Gujarat such as DAIICT, ITNU, DDU, LDCE, MSU in the provided order. My A.C.P.C merit rank was 665 (general category) in GUJARAT. So, I couldn't get admission in DAIICT and ITNU (NIRMA UNIVERSITY). But finally, I got admission in DDU which is also one of the premium institutes for the COMPUTER /I.T. branch. DDU offers better curriculum and placements than ldce and msu so it was my priority. Admission is purely based on GUJCET + 12th BOARD marks. Previously the criteria was 60% BOARD marks and 40% GUJCET marks but during my counseling, the process changed to 50% board and 50% GUJCET. MINIMUM AGE TO APPLY FOR ACPC IS 17 /18 (you must be in your class 12 or IN CASE OF DROP IT SHOULD NOT BE DELAYED FOR MORE THAN A YEAR). The admission process was completely online.

The versatile nature, my interest, and the development of IT sector were the major reasons of me chose this course. I seriously endorse each one of you - please take this course only if you are fond of programming and mathematics. In my case, i was really very passionate about mathematics and programming languages. Faculty of Technology in DDU NADIAD is one the most reputed and experienced in Gujarat. Each one of them is either Phd./Mtech. graduate from IITs/NITs. CONTENT is totally delivered in English, is you have any doubt you can freely ask in either hindi/ english/ gujarati, they will answer you in a very humble way, but you must atleast keep on improving your english understandabilty. They also help students in projects/term work and any other personal issues too. Students are approx 130-140 in each branch and atleast 5-10 teachers each sem. 4 exams are taken each sem.- 3 sessionals and 1 mid sem. Exams are hard, you can score well if you have studied well. Passing marks-33%.

AMAZON, INFOSYS, TCS, ACCENTURE mainly offers on-campus internships. Students are given a choice to find an internship of their choice, if they can't college provides. Roles- software development, android/web development, networking, signals and telecommunications, cyber security, backend/ frontend development, and the rest depends on your interest. Online services site, Spotify app build, cloud computing analysis are the main projects I am aware of. PEACE.

From 5th-semester students start preparing for the on-campus jobs. As it is one of the best colleges for CE/IT in gujarat placements are amazing!!! AMAZON, MICROSOFT, GOOGLE, IBM, INFOSYS, TCS, BYJU's, ACCENTURE, HSBC BANK, CREST DATA SYSTEMS, NIRMA INDUSTRIES, and other175+ companies visit every year. Internships are provided from college in 8th sem, 8th sem solely consists of internship , no study :) HIGHEST PACKAGE TILL DATE IS 30lpa from GOOGLE, AVERAGE IS 6 LPA, and lowest is 3lpa. Almost everyone gets placed (95% rest opt for masters /entrepreneurship) . My plans after obtaining degree is to bag a prestigious job of around 10lpa (If god wishes), the result isn't in my hand but the process is.

Fees in the I.T. branch (sfi) were about 1,50,000/- INR every year. so for four years, the total cost would be around 6,00,000/- INR excluding your hostel/ P.G. costings. so around 8,00,000/- INR would be the total cost for your BTech. degree. But don't worry it is completely worth it if you study well with consistency and put your parent's money to a good value. There are a few scholarships to provide you with financial aid during your curriculum. M.Y.S.Y, C.M.S.S., JINDAL scholarship, DIGITAL GUJARAT scholarship and there are many which you can get if you are in S.C/S.T./SEBC. PERSONAL ADVICE- If you are a general category student and eligible for M.Y.S.Y. scholarship take it, because no other scholarship would provide you that much amount than M.Y.S.Y. It would provide you around 60000/- INR every year. I personally took this scholarship. Now you can calculate the total fees to be paid by deducting the scholarship amount you are eligible in.

ROBOCON, techfest DDU, code hub, and many more fests are conducted respective of your branch. Mostly they are conducted after the mid sem exams end. LIBRARY is a very important aspect in a student's life. DDU doesn't compromise in this aspect. In library, you will get almost all technical and nontechnical books. There is also an e-library called "dduconnect" in which you will find previous year question papers, lab manuals, journals and all the soft copy of the books available in the library. The classrooms are very cozy and spacious. Good blackboards, laboratories, workshops, and multimedia hall. Best vibes to feel engineering!!! Not many sports in campus :( you won't get enough time to do sports because of the hectic schedule. dduconnect, csi, IEEE, Dsc, CodeChef, Decibel, NSS, IICHE Abhiyanta, Samvaad, Mesa, Shutterbugs, Ecoclub- are some clubs run by students. MAALGADI is an initaitive/website started by students to provide things required in engineering at low cost in the campus.

Neat beds and cupboards are given in the hostel room. Generally, 2-3 students reside in a room. There are both hostels and P.G.s in nadiad, it's up to you what to choose :) I live in the hostel which is up to the mark and the quality of food is above average not that great but adjustable for me, hygiene that's what really matters to me, I am satisfied in this aspect. The registration process for hostels is both ways online and offline, good merit gets a seat :) Hostels are affordable as there are plenty of other options available, So choose accordingly. I lived in a hostel about 500m away from the college campus.
