Entrance Preview
I gave PET at my time and scored 77/200. Through counselling, I got selected in Truba Institute of Engineering & Information Technology in general quota. But I also got selected in NRI Institute of Research & Technology (NIRT) in TFW quota. The fees for general quota is about 70K + but its just 25K for TFW (Tution Fee Waiver). So I opted for it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is given by RGPV. However the faculties do not teach as per research purposes. Actually most of the college specially private colleges teach just only to pass the exams. But in first year of my college, the teachers were good in teaching and were sincere. The course was completed on time.
Internships Opportunities
No, the college does not provide internship. The students have to do it separately after completing studies of in 4th year.
Placement Experience
Seriously, if you depend on placements, do not think for a single second to opt for this college.At my time, only 3-4 companies came and the salaries were horrible. Like, one company came and selected one of my batch mate and gave him 15k salary job in PUNE.
College Events
In first year, we had Freshers party. It was so cheap that I could not tell you. In second year, we gave freshers party to first year students and that too was boring. The college organized NOVIZIO which was good and had many activities from Computer Gaming to outdoor games. There were no festival activities as far as i know.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes scholarships which are granted by govt. are accepted by college. The college did not provide any scholarships. No loan facility is provided by college. I cannot and did not applied for any scholarship as I was from TFW quota.
Alumni/Alumna
I have never seen of any event in which senior students came and the college organized any event. However they take Rs.500 in last year as alumni fees. This college is very bad is this aspect.
Exam Structure
We usually had Mid-term sem, then PUT (Pre-University test) and then the final exams. If you join this college, just attend these exams for attendance purpose even if you leave your answer sheet empty, because you will get good sessional marks. The practical exams are like a joke.
Faculty
As I told earlier, The teachers were very good in first year. But as soon as I second year comes, the teachers lose their sincerity. The lab works also reduced. Most of the faculties are graduated from private colleges and some were doing M.Tech at my time. HODs are sincere but most of the teachers are not. Only 5-10% of faculties were graduated from good colleges and were knowledgeable.
