AMRITA - 6066. I got rank in amrita exam. I wrote IIT JEE and bitsat and flunked them both. I got admission in sastra and amrita. I joined amrita as they had better placements.

The course is specifically designed to keep in touch with nit's and iit's. They follow almost the same pattern and textbooks. The electives are nano physics and chemical compositions. Core electives are wide ranging from big data, data mining, cryptography, information security.

Yes, there are many companies that come for campus placements and many are awarded interns. The average would be around 20k. The experience is always positive.

The Corporate and Industry relations department is an independent department that looks after the companies and the colleges and the interests of the students. They ensure many high paying companies come to college for placement. They get close to 98% placed.

The tech fest, Anokha is one of the best fests around in the engineering side of the country. People from around the country come every year to participate in it. Also the cultural fest of the college, Amritotsavam is organised every year, to celebrate our love for literature.

The fee structure is a little on the expensive side. The fee every year comes to around 1,80,000 rupees each year for tuition fees alone. In addition to that, the hostel fees and mess fees add up to almost 2,40,000 rupees every year. It is considerably higher compared to other engineering institutions.

The campus is located far from the city. It is lush with greenery and trees everywhere. It is maintained amazingly well. You can find dustbins every 20ft. Nobody will feel like littering the place. There are three grounds for games like football and cricket with courts for basketball and volleyball. Indoor games like shuttle and TT also have spaces. There are 2 gyms with proper equipment.

The hostels are very well maintained and cleaned every day, like literally every day, Their devotion to keep the place clean is commendable. The mess food, is actually very hygienic than tasty. There are not a lot of colleges that can claim that. Sure some improvement can be there but they can be easily overlooked.

There is an alumni association which functions to provide guidance to the current and passed out students. They provide points of contact for corporate relations for placement and fundraising activities for tech fests etc.

It is a pleasant schedule for both lab exams and the theory ones. There is always sufficient time between exams to prepare. We have one exam on each day for all the midterm and end semester exams. They range from 2 hours to 3-hour exams. All lab exams are conducted one week prior to the theory ones.
