Remarks
I didn't apply for any college, I just gave UPSEE and got admission through counseling. I didn't avail any quota, I belong to the General category. When I got admission the last student who got admission through counseling in the ECE branch was ranked around 57-58000. I was allotted this college at the 4th round then there was an allotment letter in which reporting time etc was mentioned. It took almost an entire day to complete the documentation and admission process in the college, it was really tiring.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty: student ratio is around 3:200. The faculty is highly qualified, almost every member of faculty is a Ph.D. degree holder or pursuing their Ph.D. from their respective college. There are tons of assignments and there are sessionals every 1-1.5 months and an average or above than average student can easily pass those exams.
Internships Opportunities
Internships offered are very less than average and the stipend is also very less. Projects are also not interesting in which you will do the work with enthusiasm. It's better that you apply for the off-campus internship.
Placement Experience
After the 7th semester, students are eligible for placements. Top companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Truchip, VVDN, HCL, Wipro, and many more. Around 95%+ students get placed. The highest placement of last year was around 35 lacs from Amazon. Average placement is around 4.5lacs. I am preparing for CDSe and other technical entries in the armed forces.
Fees and Financial Aid
In the first year, the total college fees excluding the hostel were 1,36,200. In the 2nd year, it is 1,28,600. Hostel fees are definitely hiked around 5-7% by next year. If one's family income is less than 2 lacs then UP Government (Samaj Kalyan vibhag) provides scholarships and stipends of around 53000 in total every year.
Campus Life
GENRO annual fest etc is conducted every year, but due to COVID-19 since last 2 years there are no such fests are organized but yes, last month hostel organized Diwali fest. All the course books are available, daily newspaper and other magazines are also available. Every classroom is air-conditioned and equipped with Wi-Fi. Sports and other co-curricular activities are not at all supported by the institute, if you want then do it yourself. Light De Literacy is an NGO organized by the seniors of the college, there are many techs and non-tech clubs- you have MINERVA, PICTURESQUE, ENVIRON SAMVAD THEATRE, etc.
Hostel Facilities
You have to choose between AC and Non AC room. Bed, Chairs, Tables, Curtains, shelves, etc. are provided by the hostel and the rest is to be brought by the student residing there. The meal quality is good, I'll say a bit better than other college hostels. The registration process is easy you just have to bring the fees receipt of college to the warden of the hostel and just pay the hostel fees and get a room allotted.
