I took CAT entrance exam, I scored 62℅ along with 94℅ in MAT. I applied for admission at IBS and received the call letter.
Course Curriculum Overview
Research was mainly secondary research. Course structure cover almost every about every stream. Course structure for the first year remains same for all after first year it divides as per selected steam. It gives option to students for selection of stream with selection of courses.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, They do provide internship and stipend ranges from nil to Rs. 15000 per month. In internship ING VYASA Bank, Kotak mahindra bank, Sutherland Global services, Jp morgan chase etc.
Placement Experience
It's not that great as they took many students which is beyond their limit of placements. Major recruiters are HDFC Bank, JP Morgan chase, ICICI Bank, ibexi, SBI life insurance, ETG etc. Around 330 got placed through college out of 550 students. They take more students then they placed 70℅.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's average . It was Rs. 600000 for 2011-2013 batch. It's feasible as they charge per quarter like after every semester. They also try to sell you there MBA distance of ICFAI DEHRADUN that costs around rs 80000 for whole MBA. All the charges are always disclosed no hidden charges.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarship after 2010-2012 batch. Earlier it was given and fee was 8.5 Lacs for their batch but fee reduced and scholarship also removed.
Hostel Facilities
There was no hostel in the campus or provided by college. Pg are available with range form Rs. 5000 to Rs. 10000 Meals can be cooked at home through cook and Tiffin system available easily.
Exam Structure
There are 4 semesters of 4-5 months each. Not that hectic. It was normal and more focus was on case studies, presentations etc. There were many other seminars from external faculties also. 10 lectures per week of 3 hours per lecture. College also conducted few labs with association with companies like bloomberg.
Admission
Group discussion and Personal interview. Group discussion was having 8-10 candidates and general topic like Indian economy by 2020, vision 2020, arrange marriage vs love marriage were given. Personal interview mainly about academics, extra curricular activities etc.
Faculty
College has very good visiting faculties who focus on practical aspects of business. Permanent faculties were also good. Faculties are mostly post graduates from reputed college and research scholars along with industry experience. Standards of the faculties are good.
