JK Institute of Applied Physics and Technology college review for computer science branch

The Admission process in JK Institute of Applied Physics and Technology, the University of Allahabad(in short JKIAPT) is done through josaa counseling. For Admission to JKIAPT Allahabad, you first qualify JEE Mains Exam. In My case I have scored 111 marks in JEE Main 2018 and 48,000 is my All India Rank and 31,000 in OBC and I get the college in the 2nd round of josaa. I see that in my batchmates many of them get admission even up to 2Lakhs (AIR rank in SC category). So basically you all get it with an AIR Rank of within 60,000(For General Category), 80,000(OBC Category), and within 2lakhs(for SC, ST), etc. Before this college, I had already taken admission in IIIT Pune which is quite expensive for me so that I have left it because its fee is around 4lakhs per year(2.34 lakh tuition fees) and also hostel is approx. 24 Km from the main campus. that's why I left it and join JKIAPT Allahabad(its fees is 36,000 in the first year and 24,000 from 2nd year also 14,500 hostel fees per year + 2,100 mess fees per month).

As in JKIAPT Allahabad, has only two branches such as computer science and Engineering, and Electronic Communication and Engineering, out of which I have preferred CSE because I love coding as well Development and another reason is there is much scope in computer science. As usual, there are no extraordinary professors or students there is just ordinary faculty and lab only for attendance. if we talk about their way of teaching that is good for some teachers and others are just take formality. In my batch, there are only 35 students and 29 in the ECE branch that is overall strength in Btech. If we talk about semesters and exams that are normal, we start studying just before 15 days for the end semester examination and nearly 10 days before the mid-semester exam.

There is, After the third year we are eligible for campus placements but of course, there is no company visited in 2021 we are just unemployed. The previous year TCS company visited our college and gives around 3.2 LPA package and 10 out of 8 are selected for placements. This year in 2021 only one student just placed till now. We all giving gate 2022 exam and most of us go for IIT, NIT as our seniors do.

I think this is the cheapest college in India. There are 36,000(first-year fees) after that you have to pay 24,000 per year. Now if we talk about the hostel fee that is 14,500 for a single room(2nd year onwards), 13,000 double room(in the first year), and 2,100 per month mess fee. We have to get a state government scholarship of 44,000(during the first year), 64,000(in 2nd year), 54,000(in the third year) in the 4th year just in progress(around we get it in January). if we talk about campus placement there is not good, imagine we are just completing our final year still unemployed.

There is "Avirbav" that is an annual fest occurring in the month of February, For football, there is a SWAT CUP and TECHNO CUP for cricket. if we talk about the library you can issue 3 books at a time and around 70,000 books in the library. For sports, I have already mentioned that there are two events organized by colleges such as SWAT CUP and TECHNO CUP. In the case of social media, there is an official WhatsApp group so that we can communicate with our CR or professors regarding any guideline.

hostel is much better in JKIAPT, that is the only thing that's why i love it. There is a single shared room(two students per room) facility in first year after that we get single room. there is a good quality of food and only veg food, also there is multiple mess you can take food from anywhere, there is no restriction. during hostel allotment you have to fill only one form for hostel acceptance whose fees is 13,000 during first year. there is a cost around 6000 per room(for only just small room) because hostel is allocated in the main market of Allahabad, so here PG rooms are much expensive.
