Best College in Gujarat

I gave JEE-MAIN exam to get admission in SVNIT,Surat. I have scored 136 marks out of 360 in JEE-MAIN. SVNIT, Surat is best college for mechanical engineering among all NITs and it has almost all types of lab and experimental setups which will give you more practical related knowledge and faculties are well experienced. Also SVNIT, Surat got 2nd rank among all NITs and 15th rank all over the India by MHRD .

The course mechanical engineering is very good and interesting. You have a lot many opportunities in research Sector also. Also campus place is above 75%. Curriculum covers all the fields of mechanical engineering. You can get syllabus on college website. Fluid mechanics and thermodynamic subject are very much interesting .

College provide research internship. You can apply using link on college website. Stipend is around 5000 rupee per month. It is good experience.

Placements is very good. Almost all the core companies of mechanical come for placement and many IT and Management companies also come for placement. Big companies like L&T: 5.5 lpa , Rilenece : 5.5 lpa , Tata Moters : 7.5 lpa , BPCL : 11.5 lpa , HPCL : 11.5 lpa , Audi: 7lpa ,Honda: 8lpa , BMW : 7lpa and Adani , Esaar , Jsw , John deer , sun pharma , Gujrat Gas etc and average package around 7 lpa.

Tuition fee is 70000 per semester and hostel fee is 50000 per year for Open or OBC category students. For SC/ST students tuition fee is zero and hostel fee is 50000 per annum . For middle class family it tough to pay this much fee but you can get many scholarship.

Students loan are given. CM scholarship is also given to the students of Gujarat by Government of Gujarat.

Campus atmosphere is very good .No ragging is done . Girls are also safe. As an engineering institution gender ratio is small 500: 1000 . Many students chapter are working like drishti , sae, chrd, iiie, cec etc . Students from all over the India come here for study.

Exam structure is good . It has mid sem and end sem test per semester and practical tests are conducted at the end of semester. Exams standard is very much high . Practical exams are tough. Also viva is little bit difficult. You will require good knowledge of subject.

Faculties are very much experienced and some are the kings in their field .Almost all faculties and the PhD and M.Tech holders from IIT-NITs and other reputed college of India. They have also many PhD students. They currently works on many interesting topics . Some of are very much good at teaching.
