The Indian Institute of Management, Amritsar has made a number of adjustments to its admission procedures, including decreasing CAT cutoffs, eliminating the GD-WAT process, and raising CAT weightage in shortlisting and final selection, among other things. For the 8th MBA class, starting in 2022, IIM Amritsar will use a two-stage selection method. Total fee for the MBA program is INR 13,20,000.(INR 6,60,000 for each year). The amount is inclusive of Tuition, Books & Case Material, Library, IT & Computer, Hostel & Electricity, Medical & Students' Activities. IIM Amritsar awards scholarships on the basis of scholastic performance.

All of the campus's classrooms and seminar rooms are well-equipped with amenities such as LCD projectors, internet connection, and speakers. Hostel and mess expenses are around INR 660000 per year, which includes institutional fees, entrance fees, and mess fees. The admission is through CAT examination and a PI process after a shortlist as per their minimum criteria. I interviewed at all of the IIMs for which I was shortlisted and was eventually accepted into IIM Amritsar.
