The best college life in India

I took the ICAS direct admission based on 10th and 12th grades. I choose B.E. in computer science. It was a 2+2 degree where in you have to study 2 years in India Manipal University and 2 years in Australia, UK or USA.

The course structure was very nice. They took care of the practical knowledge too by providing appropriate instruments and labs to gain knowledge. The Teachers helped a lot during college hours and also after if they were available in college library.

I frankly didn't apply for any internship nor it was required for me to apply for any so I can not say anything regarding this topic.

For my course(ICAS) the degree and placements are done by the college(either USA, UK or Australia) you take transfer to. This is the best part of the course wherein you study the first 2 years of your degree in India and the rest 2 years abroad.

The first event after the inauguration in any engineering college is the fresher's day party which was organized at the best night club of manipal. The college also took care of the security at the event so that no misbehaviour took place at the event. We also got the chance to celebrate Halloween party at our college.

The fee structure as a private university was a bit expensive looking at the facilities they provide to us. My first year fee was 3.5 lakhs + hostel fee of 60k and my second year fee was 2.5 lakhs + hostel fee of 60k. But yes this fee structure is for my course only (ICAS).

There were no scholarships offered by our college which is a bad remark. They should provide the students with scholarships in the future.

The campus life was really amazing. A very huge campus had everything available inside including the auto stand right below our hostel in order to be on time for the college. The food court was one of its kind where they provided a variety of food choices at a very cheaper rate than any restaurants.

The alumni network was very strong and the seniors do help us and guide us through out our course in this college.

They had a mid semester exam which were the internal exams and the end semester exams. The end semester exam was tuff because the passing mark was 70% but later on this helped us getting opportunities to take transfer to very good world class universities in USA, UK, Australia.

Admission process was very simple. You have to submit all the document along with the application form online in the initial stage. Once the admission is finalized in 20-30 days you will receive an offer letter asking you to submit the original documents(10th 12th cert., TC, etc) followed by the tuition fee before the given deadline and also the hostel fee if you opt for it.

All the faculties were very experienced and knew how to make a student understand the concept in a very easy way. They were open to any kind of doubts if a student had even in different subjects. Few teachers also stayed back after the college hours just to take extra classes for the students.
