Entrance Preview

I gave IIT JEE for the entrance and i scored around 120 and that year cutoff was near 115. Every year cutoff is changed. I choosed this college because it is under Panjab University which is one of the best university and this college is also very good in chandigarh and it has value. students here are fun and hardworking as same time .

Course Curriculum Overview

Its quiet fine. The subjects and the syllabus are quite ok. but in few area we have lots of extra things that is not required we also have to study that. But overall its fine and we can understand with the help of teachers and senior or friends. Our teachers keep updating the syllabus also.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, but mostly we have to find our own internship only. It provide but not much. We mainly have to find internship with our own only.

Placement Experience

Placements of IT and CSE are quite good. Many companies come and they take our students and mostly end of semester mostly students are placed. But it does not mean that other branches do not get placement they also get placed but mostly IT and CSE have good placements.

College Events

There are many events main events are of course FEST that is "GOONJ" and Udyami, Avishkaar ,efficycle and many more. They are different different type of fest few are Avishkar this is technical Goonj id cultural and few are mixed.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very feasible as it is a government college. Only 1600 hostel fee for 3 months we can not get this much good facility only in this much amount. Its amazing even college fees is not very high compare to private colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarship for ST and economically poor people. and even whatever government provide scholarship .Our college accept all the scholarship if its not fake and if it is valid.

Exam Structure

Our college life is very chill out. But 1 month before exams we are very busy with our presentations assignments and all. We have 2 sessionals before finals but sessionals are not very hectic they are easy but before finals we get very busy. Overall its not hectic we are really chill throughout.

Placements of this college is better than many tier 2 NITs . Students are eligible for placement in 8th semester. If we talk about the top companies visiting PEC, these are Apple, Google, Microsoft, American Express, McKinsey, JP Morgan etc.

Placement Experience:

from 5 semester you become eligible for internship and pre placements i think 56 percent of the students get placed i haven't thought much about what i need to do after the degree but definitely i would be considering gaining some experience in this degree to enhance my skills

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

Placement Experience:

For placement students can apply in their last year respectively Top recruiters at UICTE include Reliance, GAIL, Honeywell, ExxonMobil, and Technip, offering many roles, but exact offer numbers aren't publicly available. Highest package for chemical engineering this year is 12 LPA and average is around 5 to 7LPA I want to do something of my own after this degree

There are on compus placement and few companies visit. But very few students are only selected and offered a package of around 5-6 lpa. Oracle, fy, hdfc etc In percentage placement is around 10%. I plan to apply for off campus placements and don't have any plans for mtech or any other cource.

I want to go abroad for higher studies and after that work for a multinational company. I will be able to learn so much about what has been taught to us, the highest package that was given was 42 lakh per annum and the minimum is 10 lakh per annum and CSE gets the highest number of the package.

my college: pros and cons

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location.
