Remarks
The admission process was not a difficult task. We had to fill an online form containing details like the school name in which you studied, percentage, residential address, etc. Then they gave an online exam date and after the exam we got ranks and then got admission. The minimum percentage required was 60%.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.com (Hons) as this course is a practical course and a course full of knowledge and different subjects which are practically used like accounting, income tax, Human Resource Management, etc. The faculty is good and is well knowledged. They are very helpful in academics as well as in other problems too. We have 4 exams in a year, 2 mid semesters, and 2 final semesters. There are a total of 6 semesters in this course.
Placement Experience
There is a separate placement cell for this. The students are eligible for placements in the final year of the course. I don't know yet about which all companies visited and no of offers made. The highest package is 12L per annum and the average package is 4.5L per annum. 80% of students get placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of my course is like we have to pay Rs 25,500 per sem and Rs 60,000 for hostel and mess per year. The total fee for the year is 1,11,000. And there were one-time fees also at the time of admission which were Rs 10,000 registration fees Rs 10,000 security and exam, sports & library fees Rs 5,000. Every year the increase is Rs 5,000 for new admission. The only Scholarship that you can get is a government scholarship no other Scholarships are given by the university itself.
Campus Life
Life in gbu campus is very enjoyable and memorable. It gives a great experience and teaches lots of things alongside. An annual fest well known as Abhivyanjana is organized, in this many activities happen like DJ night, cultural programs, and many more activities. Many other fests happen occasionally and monthly basis. Sports meet happen frequently on the campus of most of the sports. The campus has a beautiful sarowar with a Buddha statue in the middle with a grand walk in front of it with a lot of greenery.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are well furnished and equipped with all the required things. They provide a single bed, a study table and chair with and bookshelf, and an almirah to each student. There is an attached balcony with every room which gives a pleasing view. The hostels are well maintained with cleanliness and hygiene. The washrooms are quite good and maintained. The mess food is also good. The menu changes regularly with 4 meals a dal, breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner with sweets. The hostel and mess fee is Rs 70,000 per year. The girl's and boys' hostels are separate and the good thing is they are on the campus itself.
