Remarks

The admission process begins with filling up separate applications for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) and filling up each college's form under MBA colleges of Symbiosis International University. The fees for the SNAP form are 1950rs, and there is a choice to appear for the entrance exam twice per year. After clearing the entrance, the shortlist comes out for the students who appear for the GE-PI-WAT (Group Exercise-Personal Interview-Written Ability Test). The weightage of marks is divided as such- 50% is SNAP score, 10% for GE, 10% for WAT, and finally 30% for PI. The forms are available on the official website of the SNAP test. The last date for filling out the SNAP exam form is November 27, 2021, and for SIDTM, it is January 31st, 2022. The eligibility of the course is that the candidate should be a graduate from any recognised university or institute of National importance with a minimum of 50% marks and 45% for Scheduled caste and tribes. The cut-off is decided by SIU.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

MBA-DTM has gained paramount importance, especially in this digitalized era where technology has become inescapable. I chose SIDTM because I wanted to add an extra edge to my management skills and expose myself to dynamism. The faculty at SIDTM is very well informed and dignified. The student-faculty ratio would be approximately 10:1, where we have the mentor-mentee program. The faculty in charge personally guide us. The faculties have 10 to 15 years of experience not just in the educational field but also in the corporate, so they understand the practical applications of the concepts they teach. The teaching methods include presentations, roleplays, case study analysis, MCQ-based exams, lab sessions, and viva. Term exams were right on time around mid-November, and a student needs to be 100 percent attentive in the classroom and pay attention to concept clarity to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities are vast, and approximately forty companies come to the campus for internship and live project offers. Some of the prominent companies include Ernst and Young, _VOIS, Subex, etc. Roles offered under the internship are IT risk advisory, cybersecurity, market strategist, business development officer, etc. Projects include work like research and report-making, cold-calling, whitepaper writing, and many more.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement at SIDTM has taken a huge leap this year with the interim report being published for the year 2020-22. Students normally get placed by the end of their third semester. The highest package is 29LPA and the average of the top 50 is 15.7LPA. There are PPOs offered too to the students and all the eligible students get placed every year. The domains that SIDTM caters to are IT/ITES, Edtech, Marketing, Finance, Telecom, etc. Some of the job roles offered include pre-sales, digital marketing, consultants, business analyst, project manager, Risk managers, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is not entirely reasonable and affordable, but it is comparatively lesser than a lot of Tier 2 MBA colleges in our country. It sums up to approximately 16Lakhs for two years, including academic fees, hostel fees, mess fees, and tuition fees. The ROI is quite good, though. We have an option to pay in installments and a loan facility is also available. There is a total of 10 scholarships but only 2 are offered at the PG level. Late Jayatee Deshmukh Scholarship is awarded to the SNAP female toppers.

Campus Life

5

The campus life at SIDTM is one of its kind with rustle and hustle every single day. The committees are 11 in number and entirely student-driven. All the fests, festivals, competitions, placements, branding, everything is taken care of by the very competent and capable students of SIDTM. Apart from committees, we also have a number of clubs dedicated to providing students with extra study material to help us with the placement process. The flagship program of SIDTM is the International Telecom Seminar called 'Communique' where the annual telecom magazine called 'Prevision' is released. We also conduct the TEDxSIULavale for the Lavale campus. We have a sprawling campus filled with courts and grounds for sports and gymming and swimming. Classrooms have all the modern amenities like the projector, whiteboard, internet. We have all the subject books and materials in the library and not just the physical one, we too have an access to the online library portal of SIU.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel rooms are very well maintained and hygienic with the basic amenities and furniture provided. There is a bed, study table and chair, cupboard and a shelf. The food is good too with veg and non-veg preferences provided. The registration process for the hostel is completed at the time of fee payment and without any hassles.

Interview Experience

4.5

Yes, we had to appear for the GE-PI-WAT round after clearing the SNAP entrance exam. The topics for Group Exercise were technology-related or more about the current affairs of the nation/worldwide. For example, Is AI helping humans or taking away employability? The interview is very subjective, but I must say, you need to know your subject of interest well and have a strong base of general knowledge. I prepared by reading many blogs and articles on current technology trends in the business and skimming through the basic current affairs of the entire year.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
