The B-school is one of the best in the country and enjoys the position of a premier institution. Every year thousands of aspirants try to secure a seat in this institution and that clearly describes the exclusivity of this institution.

I took the IIFT written exam conducted in the month of November every year. I scored 96.xx percentile and I opted for this college because of the exposure that the college gives. Secondly, my college gives a degree in International Business which no other college in India provides

The course is highly rigorous when it comes to IIFT. One needs to put exceptionally high no. of hours to compete with equally brilliant batchmates. MBA in itself is a tough course and a degree in International Business requires utmost dedication. At IIFT we are allowed to choose Multiple majors and minors in streams like finance, marketing, consulting etc.

Yes, the college has a summer placement programme that is to facilitate internship opportunities for 1st-year students. The average length of the internship is two months during which stipend is provided. On an average, the figure is always more that one lakh.

IIFT is ranked among top 10 colleges for MBA in India. The placements at IIFT for both summers as well as finals are a subject of envy for other B-schools. The average figures in both the placements are at par with other B-schools that come in top 10 in India. Brands like JP Morgan Chase, Dabur, Godrej are some of the big names that are part of the placement process.

College holds various curricular and extra curricular events. The biggest of them all is Vivaan which is an International business summit. It is a three-day event where distinguished guests from different domains are invited. At the same time, there are multiple pan India level competitions in each domain, that are organised to provide a platform for budding managers to showcase their mettle to the world.

The fee structure at IIFT is comparable to that of other B-schools. A total fee of 18 lakh which includes the cost of living at the campus is the average fees. It is spread in 6 equal instalments and can vary from year to year. Of this roughly, 14-15 Lakh is contributed towards the tuition fees

The loan facilities are extended to the students by two major national banks, SBI and PNB at very attractive interest rates. The process is fairly simple and fast and takes place during induction phase every year.

The extracurricular activities like sports events, festival celebration are common throughout the year. We also have multiple domain related clubs that organise Workshops, seminars that are relevant to the domain. Partying is a part of student life which is made even more fun by the cultural society of college.

The hostels are newly constructed in an apartment fashion. Each student gets an individual room. There is a single mess which caters to the food requirements of students for four meals every day. Other than that there is a nescafe and a night canteen.

There is a vast and very helpful network of alumni that IIFT enjoys. Being more than 50 years old IIFT has a huge network of alumni, all of whom are more than happy to help each other.

As mentioned the curriculum is rigorous at IIFT. There are various types of evaluation methods that are implemented by the professors which vary from normal pen and paper exams to presentations, open book exams etc. Generally, after an initial period of a couple of weeks, we have at least one evaluation every week in each semester.

The admission process starts in November with a written offline exam which has four sections - DILR, VA, Quant and General Awareness. The candidates shortlisted after this move for a GDPI and essay writing exam. This is followed by first merit list and allotment procedure continues.

The Faculty themselves are of great experience. Most of them are world renowned for their experience and prowess in their respective fields. They often advise the various ministries in matters of national importance. At the same time, they have amazing teaching skills.
