Entrance Preview

I gave Karunya entrance exam(KEE) and went for college enrolment. I opted for electrical branch because I have interest in this field.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure is good but research is average. Would like more of that. Every semester we have to complete a minimum number of subjects in order to get the academic credits.

Internships Opportunities

We have IAESTE in our university responsible for internship offers from abroad. Countries like Germany, Sweden Poland Austria basically European countries and a lot more.

Placement Experience

Last year a lot of job offers were provided by various companies. We also had a German company with a package of 22 lakhs and 3 of our students got placed in that company. Other than that we have TCS, Infosys, IBM, Mahindra , cognizant etc with packages around 3 to 6 lakhs p.a. Many students got placed in these companies last year. Other companies like Pravin electricals based in Pune provides packages of 2. To 3 lakhs.

College Events

Our biggest technical event is Mindkraft held annually during the month of march. Other than that each department has their own cultural and tech fests. Such as evogen by biotech. Auto expo by mechanical eureka by electrical and many more. We have cultural fest like the Megaplay for Christmas.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure has been made to look smartly cheap but it isn't . It charges for a lot of things thereafter like exam fee, MESS fee. Tuition fee is 50000, Hostel fee is 20000, Mess fee advance is 15000, Exam fee 500 per subject, Establishment fee 30000, Other fee is 25000.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any thing of that sort but they do provide scholarships and loan facility. I don't have much idea about this but the scholarship I know is for for people belonging to Christian Muslim minority are allowed to avail that.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is constantly changing. Every year it's different. Exams are very frequent. We have 3 internals after 25 days each and after that we have the lab exams every week. And at the last we have our externals for 100 marks each. Internals are for 40 marks each.

Admission

I filled the online KEE form then after few weeks results were declared. After that they called us for enrolling and selection our branches. After that a month later we had to join the college.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Karunya University - Review (From a current Student)

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

The proximity of the college to my state and the ease of travel was way simplified for me. College is very safe and secure especially for girls.
