Average placements and education, lacks a lot in extracurricular activities

Minimum 60% is needed with Science as a stream in intermediate. You can come through KCET if you're from Karnataka or if you're from some other then you need to give COMEDk examination. For counselling, you need to come to Bangalore as it was at my time but things might've been changed now.

The main reason behind my choosing CSE was because this field has enormous opportunities in the coming days and it will only grow. Also, the placements are mainly focused on CSE in many private colleges, other branch students get fewer opportunities compared to cse students. The faculty to student ratio is okay and most of the faculties are PhD. Internal examinations happen every 1.5 and are 3 in number with external examinations every semester conducted by vtu.

College doesn't offer internships. If they do, they'll charge you money for it. You have to get an internship from outside. They don't provide any training for internships or placements and if they do, it's mostly paid. You don't get any internship from college with a stipend. They leave you on your own for it.

Placements start from the start of the 7th semester itself and many companies are coming in with avg package of around 4-5 lakhs. As of now companies like MPhasis, HashedIn, Cloudthing, Hexaware, Wiley Mthree etc. The highest package is 11 LPA by Wiley. The profiles are mainly trainee engineers and associate software engineers. Placements for the CSE branch is above 80%. I'm planning to continue with my job after my education.

Fees are the same for every year once fixed. There's no fees hike in between the course. The scholarship isn't provided by college and students mostly avail themselves scholarships from the government. I got a job of 4 LPA from campus as of now and many other students have job offers too.

The extracurricular activities are dead in this college. There are hardly any extracurricular activities throughout the year except a few days around the fest. The fest isn't good either. They hire some unknown artist to perform which performs below average. Clubs and social groups are non existent in this college.

The hostel is well equipped with 3 people in one room. It has common bathroom and wifi facilities. The hot water facility is there but just one tap to fill and that too not working very well. Hostel mess has okay food but they serve non veg in limited quantity. Breakfast is mostly south Indian. Hostel charges are above 1 lakh and they increase 5k every year.
