MDI Murshidabad review

I applied through their form floated on their official website, the cut off was around 70%-ile. The application process was as simple as it gets, applied through their website, received a mail of shortlisting and further details of the rounds was provided.

The faculty members are top notch, all of them are alumni of India's various premiere institutions and carry a lot of industrial experience in different sectors. Every trimester half of the faculty are from tier 1 B schools like MDI Gurgaon, IIMs.

The institute provides a lot of opportunities for good summer internships and apart from that there are a lot of opportunities for live projects and internships from various starts. This allows the students to gain an edge in terms of their profile.

The institute has gained a reputation for providing above average placements than institutes accepting students with similar CAT scores. The average placement for last year stood at 10.5 lakhs per annum with the highest at 26 LPA.

The fees are pretty competitive with other business schools in the area, the biggest plus being the hostel and mess charges are included with the overall fees displayed which I've found to be missing from the fees structure of a lot of B schools.

Excellent campus, the library is well stocked, access to a lot of national and international databases are provided. All the common clubs and committees are present like, placement, marketing, finance, HR, operations.

The hotels are of single occupancy and the rooms provided are of standard quality. The basic amenities are provided in the room itself and anything required could be acquired from the campus itself. Food is of above average quality.

There was only one personal interview round which was with the present faculties of the institute. Due to the covid lockdowns during the admission process, this round was conducted virtually over zoom.
