The admission process was as smooth as butter. All things were online. The application form is available both online and offline both. The fee was 900 at that time I mean in 2015. Counseling is the main factor to getting a good govt college like Hooghly Institute of Technology.
Course Curriculum Overview
I liked electrical engineering since my childhood. Thats why I choose Electrical Engineering. There are 9 Faculties at that time for just the electrical engineer batch. All facilities are well known and respected. Exams are on time. There are 2 semesters in one year. And the exam is not too tough. You have to know your basics to clear them

Placement Experience
From the 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. At the time, L&T, ULTRATECH, ITC , SIMENES ,and many other reputed companies visited to recruit us . The average CTC companies offered us about 3 Lac per annum. About 68 percent of students are placed in this company.
Fees and Financial Aid
There was no fees hike because the college was totally government. You have to buy your books or you can use the books available in the college library. You can apply for any scholarship like Swami Vivekananda or any scholarship. All the faculties are helpful to get you the scholarship or financial assistance. Many of my friends got jobs at the campus
Campus Life
Two fests,1 social and sports are conducted in our campus Annually. I am sorry but I don't know the exact number of books available in the library. But I know it's about between 10000 to 12000. Cricket, Football, Volleyball and Badminton, Carrom are the sports, we played at that time. Singing, Dancing and Drama clubs are available there.
