Students from commerce as well as the Science stream can choose this course. In our college, 40% of seats is being reserved for Scheduled caste students. The remaining 60% of students are allotted seats on the basis of.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I want to become A Chartered Accountant in future so I chose this course so that I could get deeper knowledge in those subjects. The quality of teaching is very high with highly qualified teachers. The semester exam is held half-yearly which is easy to pass.

Placement Experience

Students get eligible for the campus in their final year. A large no of MNC visit our college for hiring students where the highest package offered is around 12 lac with average package of 4 lacs per annum Around 70% of students get placement.I want to become a chartered accountant in future.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is being reduced for lower caste students so that they can afford to study. Scholarship is being provided to the top 3 rank holders of college by a free study of cost including their books and tuition expenses.

Campus Life

The college has a large library with large no of books on different topics. The classroom are equipped with smartboard. Indoor sports like carom and tennis and outdoor sports like cricket is held every year. The college has its own maintain college website.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The aspects of the curriculum which really influenced my decision was building the foundation of accounting to holding expertise, which was aligned with my goal of studying CA. The curriculum used to be upto date which give us a real time exposure. The exam used to take place in every 3 months.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
