The better of both world!

The college is not an IIT but you there have been instances where people have achieved more. It is the better of fun and learning, if not the best.

JEE. Scored 142. Chose because of its proximity to home and because of the reviews given by peers. Also hears about it from relatives.

It has the best mix of what is necessary and what should be there. The core courses are the same of the IITs but the electives are given based on your branch and are a mix of the current technology centric and also some which help you understand the old techs.

Yes. We have a program LUSIP which help students get some great internships within the college and under the professors. The program depends on the eagerness of the batches.

Great. A number of companies visit the campus and they all offer decent packages. We had visit from Amazon and Microsoft GS division which offered 15 LPA (+10 joining) and 9 LPA packages. A number of companies offered packages ranging from 5.5 - 8 LPA and we also had companies offering less than 5 LPA covering the entire spectrum of students.

The college celebrates a number of cultural events with our biggest festival being Vivacity. We also have Plinth (Tech) and Desportivos (Sports fest). Along with that there are a number of other small festivals along the year which relieves the students of the studying and give a chance of enjoying. There are also a number of international conferences.

The fee structure is feasible but on the expensive side. The fee currently is 3 LPA. There is also a stipulated 10% increase per year. But that includes everything and that point onwards almost all the things are paid for. The fee is to be paid semester wise and you can pay fee in a number of methods.

The college allows students to pay fee by loan. Also there is provision of grants to students who excel academically.

The college supports a good blend of both male and female students (3:1). Also the campus life is encouraging with seniors interacting freely with juniors. It helps them to work hard and achieve. There a lot of sports facilities from cricket to football to tennis to badminton to gym. The only thing missing is swimming pool.

The hostels are good and are well constructed, The rooms are spacious and are for only 2 students till 3rd year. In the 4th year you get your own single room. The washrooms and other internal facilities are spot on. The mess food is how mess food should be. Though on certain days they are able to work wonders.

There are regular connections made with the alumni. There are a number of incidents when alumni visits and the professors make sure that they meet the current batch.

The Lab schedule is good with only one lab per week in the initial year to only 3 labs per week for one semester. The labs were easy so most of the times it was easy. The exams are taken on regular intervals with one mid sem and one end sem exam. The course for the exams are designed so that all the concepts are covered.

First I applied for the college trough the website and then when I was shortlisted for the process, I was given a date. Go on the date and they assign you a number based on their internal merit. Then you go to a room when your name is called and choose your branch.

The faculty is vivid, We have young and energetic professors teaching the freshmen and sophomore years and more experienced teachers handling the final years. They all know how to teach. Sometimes the faculty can be a difficult to sync with but other times it is ok.
