Remarks
I wanted to build a great career for myself in the field of management and pursuing MBA seemed as a right option for the start. The eligibility criteria states that one need to score a good rank in CAT/ PIM MAT/ CMAT and a minimum of 55% in 12th standard to fill the admission form for the course. The final list is on the basis of score in the competitive exam and on the merit. There is as such no counselling or PI round before the final list.
Course Curriculum Overview
MBA is divided into 2 years with 4 semesters. There are various specializations offered such as Services Management, Executive, International Business, Human Resource. In the 2nd year, you can opt for the specializations. The qualification of the faculty members was not much high as compared to other big universities but they were nice enough to make sure that we understood everything in the class. Exam structure tested our cognitive abilities and reasoning.
Internships Opportunities
Internships have always been an integral part of the course curriculum of MBA. Every year numerous students are offered paid internships as the Poddar group has some great industry affiliations. I interned with Infosys Ltd. for some weeks. This was a paid internship and I got to learn a lot of things as well.
Placement Experience
In the former year, the placement rate was around 90%. Due to some great affiliations of the college, many students got placed in huge multinational corporations. Major participants were Acer, Bajaj Capital, Bank of America, Barclays Bank, Coca-Cola, Cognizant, Colgate, DLF, Ford Motors, GE Capital Services, HCL, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Times, ICICI, IDBI Bank , Infosys and ITC. I got my job in Coca-Cola as the Operations Manager.
Fees and Financial Aid
The entire fee of the course is quite affordable, that's why I didn't apply for any scholarship. Still, there are scholarships available if you are looking to apply under SC/ST/OBC/ SBC category. The detailed information can be availed from the government site. Make sure, you mention the scholarship part while submitting the admission form.
