College Review

The admissions procedure, in my opinion, was fairly straightforward. Only candidates who scored 50% or more on the CAT were eligible to fill out the MDI M application form, which was available on both the MDI M and MDI Gurgaon websites. The typical cut is over 80%, although due to covid and seat increases, it has been lowered to around 75%. The final stage involved simply PI, which was conducted by college staff who evaluated the students on the basis of their believability. I had a stressful interview, which I believe would have gone badly if I hadn't had any prior preparation.

The teaching quality could be improved. They operate on a trimester basis for their academic curriculum. They provide dual majors in the PGDM domain, as well as Bloomberg lab facilities. Exams are conducted in an online format for our cohort, which has a negative impact on knowledge acquisition, but this is the case throughout India due to covid 19. Talking about different specializations, we get HR, Finance, Ops, Marketing.

Internship possibilities are available in the fields of marketing executive, business development executive, consulting, digital marketing, strategy analyst, portfolio management, market research, and corporate sales. Though the Big Four do not participate in MDI, certain significant firms like Shapoorji Pallonji, Airtel, JLL, Balmer & Lawrie, Emami, and JCL did. Companies like Digit and ICICI have already come this year.

The concept of placement is a relative one. Clearly, the placements are excellent when compared to all B schools. The average package (packages offered) is around 9-10 CTC, with 10.5 last year. As a sister college of MDIG, the brand matters, and it is rapidly improving year after year.

The fees are expected to be in the region of 12.5 lakhs. Due to Covid, a portion of the payments was also taken away. Fee waiver scholarships are 100% available, but only to students from the Northeast. Companies that come for placement or internship pay the compensation. The typical package is also extremely good, with salaries starting at around ten lakhs. Overall, it's a decent return on investment.

Campus life is fantastic, far better than you might expect. The college is located in a lush green open area near a village, and you will be able to spend your two years there in peace with other like-minded classmates. MDI Murshidabad has numerous clubs and committees. To name a few, there is annexus, which is the alumni committee, PR Media, which oversees all of the college's operations, akriti, ecell, and many others.

It's quite good. Boys, girls, faculties, and CEOs all have their own buildings. The food is delicious, and the canteen offers low-cost but high-quality food. You can also prepare meals on your own. Every facility is exclusively available on the inside. The Hostel and Mess Committee is responsible for the mess and hostel's amenities, cleanliness, improvement, and safety.

Yes, I had to take the CAT in order to be eligible for the GDPI round of MDI Murshidabad. The percentage of people who are eligible to fill out the form is 50% or higher.
