Students are provided with Fully Air-Conditioned Computer Center with State-of-Art facilities to meet the requirements of liberalized economy. Computer Center has one Server Room and Five Labs having capacity of more than 460 P-IV Smart terminals to work as Standalone and also on LAN environment.as critical infrastructure, SMS has made important advances in internetworking its campus, connecting to the outside world via the Internet and to other high bandwidth research networks. The facility is provided through 8 MBPS Broadband Connection through Sify.

Course Curriculum Overview

Computer Science and Engineering students will learn about basic engineering techniques, as other engineering students, during first year course. These techniques include Engineering Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and Engineering drawing. from second year they are exposed to core computer science subjects like programming, data structures, Digital logic, Theoretical computer science, Algorithms, Computer networks, Operating systems, Web technologies, Databases and Computer Architecture are few to mention.

SMS Alumni Association tries to create opportunities where alumni can interact with current SMS students.SMS Alumni Association has developed two chapters. One at Mumbai and other at Delhi, taking care of the respective locale of the former students of SMS,with one distinct head office at Varanasi.

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
