JMI is one of the top management institutes in terms of fees and education quality. It is a central government run institute and the facilities are top class. It has secured an A grade by NAAC and is ranked 36 for its MBA program by NIRF in 2021. To get admission you have to give your own entrance test followed by GD and PI. The admission form can be filled online only.

When you choose to do MBA from JMI there are plenty of options in its course. You can choose your dream course between normal MBA, MBA IB and MBA Entrepreneurship & Family Business. The course has theoretical papers, Summer Training Project Report and Comprehensive Project Report. The professors are highly experienced and they take practical concepts for teaching. The internship is one of the main parts of the MBA program. Everyone is given internship opportunities and if you want you can get off campus internship as well. It generally runs for 2 months but it depends upon the company for the duration. Companies such as Axis Bank, Deloitte, Wipro and others come for internships. The internship is generally paid with a stipend varying from 5000 to 10000 rupees.

The placement is good for MBA students. Almost over 90% of students get place every year. The process starts from the 3rd semester onwards. Companies such as TATA, Birla, Flipkart, Amazon, ICICI Bank, Zomato and others come for placements. The average package is 4 – 6 LPA while the highest package goes around 15 LPA. Students opt for off campus drives as well and grant handsome packages.

Once you get admission at JMI you need not worry about the fees. It provides an MBA degree at the cheapest cost available which is 23500 rupees for 2 years. There are various government aided scholarships that you can avail of according to your eligibility. There is special scholarship schemes for the backward class and the EWS students.

If you get admission at JMI you would be pleased to see the rich heritage of JMI. The main event is the foundation day and students are very eager to join the fest and participate in various events. There are so many amenities available at the campus free of cost. The management department has its own library with access to the main Zakir Hussein Central library. Sports and cultural activities are promoted. There are events taking place from time to time. You would spend two memorable years at the campus.

Maybe the hostel is a bit of drawback for the institute. But you cannot expect very modern facility at such low price. The rooms are twin bedded and necessary facilities are provided in the hostel. Proper hygiene is maintained throughout. There is mess facility available and the food is good but not up to the standards. Many students thus opt to rent flats which is available at some reasonable prices.

Once you make it through the cut-offs of their entrance examination you need to get through their GD and PI round. After all the three rounds a final merit list is published for the final admissions. The PI is very important as they analyse each student minutely to check if they are fit for the course. It is better to take some mock interviews beforehand to gain confidence.
