Remarks
The college provides engineering in many branches for undergraduate study. And postgraduate courses such as MBA and M. Tech. One can get addmission to this college by taking COMEDK exams for engineering courses and students from Karnataka can take the CET exam to avail the courses. You can also get management seats by visiting the college and getting details from the addmission section.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course because of my interest in the specific branch. Faculty: student ratio was 1:20 Faculties were well qualified in the subjects they were taking. Most of them have PhDs and some had M. Tech and good teaching experience. Semester examination is taken every 6 months for each semester. And 3 internal evaluation tests every semester. From 3 tests, the best 2 were taken for evaluation. We had practicals and labs for practical subjects. The level of the exams were average and with preparation one can pass the exam.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placement after finishing their 6 months. There are many companies which visit. The highest package is around 12 LPA and the average package is 4-5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is around 75-80%. After getting the degree I plan on doing the job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure could be better. The fees for the student of Karnataka students (those who came from the CET exam) is far less than students who came from other states (COMEDK exams). They increase the price every semester. They provide waiver SC/ST students.
Campus Life
There were two major Annual fest - Sanskruthi and Maitri And department fest for each department every year. And tech fests were also organized for inter-college. The library had books that were required for classes. But they had very few books other than that. Almost all the classrooms had projectors and whiteboards for better studies. For extracurricular, we have many clubs but they are not much focused on.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are of various range depending on the type of room and depending on the number of sharing. The room was good and clean. But the food quality and menu are disappointing. They only serve south Indian food in girls hostels which is not good in taste. The hostel is affordable. Mess charge is separate and is taken every month. The concession in mess charge is provided if one is out on holiday for continuously more than 10 months. You can visit and register for a hostel on spot.
