Remarks

No entrance exam for admission just need to file an application in DOST online and this college was provided for me. The application process was smooth and easy. Reservation benefits are like scholarship only was provided. But overall was good.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in gaining some basic computer skills so I have chosen b.com( computers) course. The faculty was too friendly and the ratio of students was 60. B.ed was the qualification of faculty and they use old methods for teaching. It was for 6 months term exams and to pass them was moderate.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 22000 per year

Placement Experience

For 6th semester we will be eligible for campus placements . The name of the companies is Tech Mahindra, HCL, Karey, HDFC,etc, 10 offer letters . But I don't know about salary package. 10% of students getting placements. My plans after getting the degree were I was doing my MBA and got placed in Accenture.

Fees and Financial Aid

Name of the scholarship was the Telangana BC scholarship. The financial assistance from the scholarship was 10,000rs. I got job in placements but didn't joined their so no idea of stipend because they didn't contacted again for any stipend discussions they only said you were selected that's it.

Campus Life

Annie Besant college provides students with 2 fest first is freshers and 2nd is farewell that's it in the starting of the academic year and the end of the academic year. A good range of books and journals will be available in library. Amenities are also good in classrooms. Sports are conducted once in a year and so many extra curricular activities are held by college management.

Pragathi College - Good for future

Course Curriculum Overview:

I just wanted to be a government job aspirant so I enquired a lot about it then I found the answer in this college. I just finish my classes and afterwards I'll attend my coaching institute they gave permission for me to study both so I joined in the college.

Even from 1th sem we are eligible for placement and there aee many companies like infosis etc. And average package is about 5lpa the percentage of students getting placed is around like 60-85%. My plans after degree is to open some business

Harsh reality of a college student

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college promises for big companies but there very few companies came with not a satisfactory salary package.As it only offers with an average salary or 350000. And they do not tell how to present ourself for placement interview.

Placement Experience:

5 th semester students are eligible for the placements. And in the 3 rd and 4 th semester our college conducts some placement related activities,by those we were able to crack placements in the top companies like TCS, HCL, Infosys etc.Most of the students are placed in campus only.

Students because eligible for the campus placements from final year that is 5-6 semester. The companies visited college for placements are EY, Deloitte, ADP, Sutherland, Accenture, sagility, JP Morgan organ, Genpact ect. Companies minimise package offered to the students is 2LPA and maximum about 5-6LPAm. The students getting placements is above 65% but placements are given on the basis on everything including the performance in interview process etc. Some Students are planning do there higher education in states and other are planning to to jobs .

I chose Bcom Honours to get ready for the future employment and training .I spoke to a career counselor who advised this course to me The curriculum prepares me very well as it contains every part of management which is done in employment. The teaching method can be changed alot ,but the course curriculum can be made more practical as similar to the workplace. The timing and frequency of exams is good ,every semester exam comes in 4-6 months

I applied through the State level website before colleges used to take alot of concession fees so now our state has made it online inorder to get rid of these charges. I must say the online process made it easier the admission the application was very easy. Yes they charged 300 rupees for admission fee and took 1000 rupees for reservation saying they'll return it after you get enrolled in this colllege...Read More

A good college

I choose this college because I got selected through DOST application where you have to apply for degree colleges after the completion of your 10+2. The college is really good with good faculty members. Teachers involve in every event and help you out thoroughly, they all motivate you. Coming to classrooms, they are normal and good. The fee structure is reasonable and low, it's is about 22,000 per year. You can apply for scholarships to cut off the fees. I don't know much about scholarship because I'm not applicable to apply for a scholarship (parent is govt employee).
