Entrance Preview

I gave IPUCET - 2016 and got a rank of 6800. I opted this college because this is the best I could get at my rank besides it's close to my home. Admission process was quite hectic. I took me whole day for a confirmed admission. I don't why they took all my original 10th and 12th class mark sheet for one year.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The curriculum is okay but not very great. Most of the first year we learn nothing close to our core branch. But I kind of felt that there are some not so useful subjects in the curriculum. There is a lot of lab work also which is good. But still there is a lot of scope to improve the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

I don't know much about it but I have seen banners in the college of different companies who visit our college.

Placement Experience

1.5

Again as I'm still in first year so I don't know much about it but I have heard that companies like Infosys, wipro etc. visit our college for placement give a package of around 300k - 400k for a year. Last year A student named Rohit sikka got a job offer from Google on a pay of 1800k but I think that was off-campus placement.

College Events

2

Technical, cultural, management festivals takes place every year. Anyone can participate in them. They aren't as big but still entertaining. Robo wars, Mr. and Miss. college, rewards for toppers and many more events like that happens time to time. Fest usually happens in march.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees ids quite affordable for a middle class family like mine. My total fee is 400k which is to be paid for 4 years. But there's this thing called management quota which is for students who are willing to take admission with a very low rank in IPUCET. I've heard one my friend paid 800k apart from 400k as a management quota student.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is scholarship for bright students who have scored great. Also there is scholarships for reserved category students like OBC, ST, SC.

Campus Life

2.5

Gender ratio is not so great. I mean there are less girls as compared to boys. In my class of 60 there are around like 10 girls. But there are students of all religions and regions. Two of my friends are from Kashmir. Students from all types of economic background.

Hostel Facilities

2

There are no hostels in this college and actually the college is quite small in terms of area. But there's this canteen inside the college. I can't say the food is great but it's okay and hygienic. There are a lot of things in food to choose from. Also the prices of food is quite affordable.

Exam Structure

Labs happens everyday of the week and it's quite hectic but manageable. In a semester there are 2 types of exams - internal and external. Question paper in internal exams are made by college faculty while that in external it is sent from university. Internal exams have lower weight-age than external.

Admission

First think that I did on the admission day was got myself a token number according to which they were attending you for admission. Due to a lot of people before me it took quite a time before my turn. They made individual files for every candidate's details and kept all the original mark sheets and paperwork in that. Administration was slow and not very friendly.

Faculty

2

Faculty is good but I can't say great. They teach on chalk board. But I kind of don't like this way. I mean a slideshow lecture would be more effective, efficient and interesting. Anyway, one thing that I don't like is this 75% attendance rule.I mean I kind of feel that I can learn a lot more in my home than in college if I get time to do so.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
