HS passout candidates from commerce stream are eligible for this course .In order to take admission in our college they need to fill the application form through college website and submit them in college office.There is no reservation system in our college.

I chose this course because I love to study the commerce stream.There are 7 section in college and 6 teacher are alloted for each section.The teacher are highly qualified and have good teaching experience.The term exams are held every 6 months which is easy to pass.

Placement Experience

Students in their final year are eligible for campus placement. Mainly banks visit our college for campus-like Bank of Baroda Pnb and Rbl bank. The average package is around 3 lacs per annum with the highest of around 12 lacs per annum. Around 65% of students get placement. I want to become a Chartered Accountant in the future.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees charged is average so everyone can afford to study here. Scholarship schemes are being introduced by colleges every year. Students can apply in it if they are among the top 50 rank holders of college.

Campus Life

The annual fest is being organized in the college auditorium every year where celebrity also visits every year There are large no books and journals in our library. Our classroom is equipped with a smart class. Sports and extracurricular activities like cricket badminton are held every year in our college. The college has its own website.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects of the curriculum which really influenced my decision was building the foundation of accounting to holding expertise, which was aligned with my goal of studying CA. The curriculum used to be upto date which give us a real time exposure. The exam used to take place in every 3 months.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
