Entrance Preview

IIT , I have a great interest in the subject if I had not got electronics and communication then I would have opted for computer science.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I like very much the subjects of electronics . There are many interesting subjects which have very much close similarity with daily life uses. It provides students a great era of learning . It also secures the job future of students. Apart from private corporate jobs it also gives students government job opportunity.

Internships Opportunities

No my college does not provide internship. There are no scopes for internship in my college. As it does not have got that much of infrastructure.

Placement Experience

3

Placement in my college is on an average its not so good .Almost 60 to 70 % students get chance to placed and average package bagged by them is around 4 to 5 lakhs. Companies like tcs , mahindra, tata motors come to my college. I think is the field which needs to be improved because many electronics students opt for higher studied just because there are less job opportunity.

College Events

3.5

There are many more events which are celebrated throughout the year. On bigger scale there are two events one is cultural fest "Taarangana" and 2nd one is technical fest "Innerve".In both the fests many more exciting events are organised. In which more than 20 college students participate. The judgement is very clear in all the events and all the winners are awarded appropriately.

Fees and Financial Aid

Actually there are scholarships which are given to the students but i do not have any deep knowledge of it that whether it is given by college or any companies. Students avail loan facility directly through the banks.

Alumni/Alumna

My college has a great alumni network but unfortunately i have not met any of them personally. My college seniors are very much helpful and interactive.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very fine. In one semester there are a total 3 exams in which two are minor and the last one is major. The two minor exams carry 15% weighted each and the major exam has 60% weighted. The rest 10% marks is given by teachers on their class performance , attendance, etc.

Admission

IT was a online registration followed by physical presence for certification verification. The cutoff rank was declared in 6 rounds and at last there was a spot round. The selected students were declared earlier and then they had to report at the college venue.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
