Remarks
The admission process in 2020 was very simple. As there was lockdown all over India, the college had two modes to apply for. One was through board exams and one was through the JEE entrance. I had applied through boards. My PCM aggregate was 78% and the cutoff for B TECH. ECE was 77% at that time. However, this year the cutoff went high for the electronics branch as well. I feel that the admission process is good and in fact quite simple.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course (Electronics and Communication engineering) as my goal is to become a software engineer. The course curriculum here is good we have 2 sets of term exams each of 20 marks before the end sem and various projects, vivas, practicals. The faculty of the ECE department particularly is very good. We have qualified professors who have themselves completed their graduation and Ph.D. from well-known colleges like IIT. Some have also worked in DTU. The exams are conducted from time to time. We have something or the other going on almost every other week which keeps us busy and focussed.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies had visited the campus with the summer training internship opportunities which included amazon, de shaw, HCL, Goldman Sachs, Paytm, Samsung, jp morgan, Infosys most of which offered stipends.
Placement Experience
From the fourth year onwards the students are eligible for campus placements provided they have no backs in previous semesters. Alot of companies have visited the college even this year. Like TCS, Amazon, Wipro, adobe, de shaw, morgan Stanley, Infosys which had given a good number of offers with the highest salary offer of 42lpa. The average package for the college is around 8lpa. 95% of placements have been achieved this year. I will be sitting for campus placements after the degree and then probably work for some years before going into MBA or maybe MTech.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is better than most private engineering colleges. Being a day scholar, my fees per semester is around Rs. 1,00,000. After 4 years I would've completed my graduation in less than 10,00,000. We have a detailed fee structure on the website as well. I don't have any idea about scholarships as I didn't see to apply for one. The campus placements here are good. The thing mentioned about 95% of placements on the website is actually true. We have alot of companies visiting our campus. Our seniors have got into many good companies such as ADOBE with a package of Rs. 41lpa.
Campus Life
We have an annual fest in our college which is very famous as well with the name of IMPRESSIONS. We have alot of tech fests also going on and we even have an ethnic night near the time of Diwali. The Learning Resource Center (library) is very huge. We have a 2-floor library. The course-related books are readily available in the library. Never gets short. The classrooms are completely air-conditioned and very spacious. We have lecture theatres and classrooms all having projectors and mics. We have one basketball court, 2 badminton courts, and one football ground. The extracurricular activities on the campus are also very good. We have alot of societies and clubs in our college. I myself am in 2 of the clubs namely Surkhaab bhangra- our dance troupe and the spain circle- our acting troupe. We have literary clubs, dance, tech, fashion, and all kinds of clubs all run and handled by students themselves.
